Some of you may know that several members of the Vander Ziel team are active firefighters. What you may not know is that this weekend is the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. This is a cause that hits close to home, so we welcome anyone else who wants to pay respects to our fallen heroes. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.

Maybe it's the hint of green finally starting to creep onto the lawn, or maybe it's the warehouse doors being left open that much longer to enjoy the breeze, but it's starting to feel like spring around here at Vander Ziel.

As the sun makes its way over the horizon and the rainclouds part for Good Friday, we just want to wish you a Happy Easter, from our family to yours!

After being a pet project around the shop for years, our 100" rotary grinder, Big Blanch, is finally finished! It still feels weird to not see it in its spot out there in the shop, but we're excited to see all the work pay off, and hope to see Blanch go to a good home!

When we heard about the upcoming project Amiina Ministries are taking on, we were so excited to be able to be a part of it! They'll be heading out to the city of Jinja, Uganda to build a vocational woodworking school for the locals to study at. We're proud to say that that the new students' tools include a planer, air compressor, table saw and sander provided by Vander Ziel!

Big thanks to Kevin, Josh and everyone else from Amiina for putting this together, and we can't wait to see everything when it's built!
