🕰️ This older post from our blog asks a simple question — is pet screen worth the extra investment?

The answer is pretty clear once you've seen what a determined dog or cat can do to standard screen material. 😅

The short version: Phifer Pet Screen is constructed from PVC-coated polyester yarn, making it about seven times stronger than regular screen. It fits existing frames, still allows great airflow, and keeps bugs out just as well. Basically the same screen, just built for real life with pets.

Worth a read for any pet owner with a screened patio or pool enclosure!

A lot of people use the terms interchangeably, but they're pretty different in terms of construction, cost, and how they work with your yard. Decks are raised platforms, great for sloped or uneven ground. Patios sit at ground level, generally cost less, and require a lot less maintenance over time. In Florida especially, a low-maintenance patio with pavers is a really popular choice.

"How much does a Florida room cost?" — it's the number one question we get, and this throwback breaks it all down!

The short answer is: it depends. Size, roofing material, window type, and whether you're starting from scratch or converting an existing patio all play a big role. The good news is that starting with an existing patio can save quite a bit since the foundation and floor are already there.
