Kicking off summer with curiosity and career inspiration.

Each week this summer, SPA will host "Lunch and Learn" events for our class of 51 interns across the nation, hearing from SPA leaders with unique backgrounds and opening the floor for in-depth discussion. SPA's internship program is a longstanding tradition offering paid, serious, and meaningful work. Many interns spend multiple summers with us and qualify for permanent placement after graduation. We view this program as a key element of recruiting and training the best and brightest young professionals.

Today, for the first "Lunch and Learn" summer event, our interns met with SPA CEO Rich Sawchak. Rich discussed topics such as how our culture drives our strategy and performance, how to grow within SPA and in your career overall, and the importance of specificity in language. At the end of his presentation, numerous questions sparked engaging dialogue.

Yesterday, SPA held its quarterly town hall meeting. CEO Rich Sawchak kicked-off the meeting by showcasing plans of growth and innovation for SPA. He emphasized that SPA and its culture continue to serve as a trusted partner in national security, from undersea to space.

SPA CPO Michelle Howell provided insights on how the company is taking employee feedback and using it to direct growth and change. She also highlighted success stories from our Career Connect and Workforce Mobility programs. Division Director John Burton recognized the Framework of Risk Awareness for Excellence (FRAME) Team for its contributions.

In addition to leadership updates and recognition, the town hall featured an open Q&A session, where employees received direct answers from senior leaders across the company. The meeting concluded by celebrating employee anniversaries from those who just joined us to those who have been part of the SPA Family for 40 years.
