TIPS FOR WEARING A WIG IN THE SUMMER HEAT
Consider shorter styles, which tend to feel cooler and lighter.
A lower-density wig (less hair volume) can reduce heat buildup.
Synthetic wigs can be cooler and lighter than human hair.
Protect a Sensitive Scalp
Wear a soft bamboo, cotton, or moisture-wicking liner if the wig cap feels irritating. A WIG GRIP is one of the best options.
Use sunscreen, a hat, or a scarf to protect exposed areas of the scalp from sunburn.
Manage Heat and Sweat
Carry a small fan or cooling towel when outdoors.
Stay hydrated, especially if treatment is causing fatigue or other side effects.
If the wig becomes damp from perspiration, allow it to air out and dry thoroughly.
Keep the Wig Clean
Sweat and skin oils can accumulate more quickly in summer. Wash any wig liners or caps regularly.
