Space Systems Command (SSC), a subordinate unit of the United States Space Force (USSF), selected MTSI for systems engineering and logistics support to the Satellite Control Network (SCN) within SSC in its mission to sustain and modernize the SCN.

For over 15 years, MTSI assisted SSC and its predecessor organizations through the rapid development, prototyping, testing, and deployment of space warfighter capabilities. This is MTSI’s second prime contract with SSC over the past four months.

“This BCS award selection is another step forward for MTSI in providing acquisition, engineering, and test leadership and best-value solutions in the space domain in support of the warfighter,” said Kevin Robinson, MTSI President and CEO.

Dayton Business Journal: MTSI will be leaving its office space at 4141 Colonel Glenn Highway in Beavercreek to settle into a larger space at the recently announced University Park IV office development being constructed by Synergy Building Systems at Germany Lane.

While the move won’t occur until the space is completed in early 2024, MTSI has been planning to expand to a new facility since January 2022. Since the company came to the region in 2006, it has grown from six employees to a staggering 300 and is projected to surpass that by the double digits each year or the next five years.

One of the region’s top defense contractors is preparing to relocate to a larger space. The move is part of the company’s ongoing growth over the last several years.

Last night, 7 COS MTSI’ers attended the Little Black Dress Initiative Gala hosted by the Colorado Springs Junior League and benefitting Fostering Hope. Fostering Hope is a local organization that assists young people once they ‘age out’ of the foster home/care system.

On Friday, March 17 the Women’s Leadership and Networking Forum (WLNF) held their first meeting of the year at the Huntsville office during lunch. We had Taco Mama catered for lunch and decorated cookies from local bakery, Batter Up Cake Bakery. We had a great turnout and had the opportunity to meet lots of coworkers from the Huntsville office!

MTSI town halls provide opportunities for employees and leadership to talk directly and listen to each other about the company's trajectory, what they see and experience in the day to day operations, employee ownership, etc. And in the year 2023 it also means cake and celebrating the company's 30th anniversary!

MTSI’s Army and Missile Defense technical and corporate leadership team hosted representatives of the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE). ASCTE’s creation established a growing pipeline of high school graduates capable of advanced placement in postsecondary education and a highly technical workforce pool prepared in theory and practice for immediate employment in industry or government. ASCTE ensures all students achieve high levels of learning to be successful in implementing cyber protections into the engineering lifecycle. ASCTE is the nation’s only high school focused on the integration of cyber technology and engineering into all academic disciplines.

ASCTE is a public, residential, magnet high school, situated on 26 acres in the center of Huntsville and serves students throughout the state of Alabama. Corporate donors provide funding for free tuition and housing.

“ASCTE is a creative and much needed approach to beginning the development of the next generation of cyber professionals and engineers” said Tim King, Executive Vice President, AMD.

NASIC awarded its first two task order awards under the S&TI Analytic Capability Support (NOVASTAR) IDIQ Contract to MTSI and its teammates to deliver tailored S&TI support services with a committed and focused workforce. MTSI Dayton Office participated in the University of Dayton’s Diversity in Engineering outreach. The event was sponsored by the University of Dayton’s School of Engineering and provided an opportunity for MTSI to connect with engineering students for potential internships in Summer 2023. Dion Bracey, who heads MTSI Dayton’s Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion team led the engagement. He was joined by Breanna Lippencott, Paul Hankins, Scott Jokerst, and Bill Gideon.
