History
Pan American Engineers (PAE) was founded in 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana. One of the founders was Thomas C. David Sr., a 1934 civil engineering graduate of the University of Notre Dame. IN 1943, the company relocated to Alexandria, Louisiana provide surveying and engineering services for the construction of the Alexandria Army Airbase (now the Alexandria International Airport).
Under the direction of Mr. David Sr., PAE flourished for the next 40 years. Throughout that time period, they provided services for numerous towns, cities, and parishes across Louisiana. Mr. David, Sr. was instrumental in developing and implementing many projects that brought the basic infrastructure of sanitary systems, potable water, paved streets, and natural gas to dozens of communities across Louisiana and Mississippi. His dedication and commitment to building lasting relationships with clients has laid a solid foundation for our company's present and future business. A number of our client relationships can be traced back to the 1940's and 1950's.
Since 1986, Pan American Engineers has been under the direction of Thomas C. David, Jr. Under his leadership the company has expanded its range of services to include environmental services, federal grant administration, and project management. Under Mr. David Jr.'s leadership, the company has grown from 20 employees to over 80, revenue has increased from $750,000 to over $13,000,000, and our client base has expanded from primarily public works to providing professional services to a diverse blend of public, military, industrial, and private clients.
