💧 Interior and exterior ladders with safety climb, a security door, and roof handrails
💧 Mechanical level indicator and sample port with enclosure
💧 Overflow pipe with weir box
💧 NSF/ANSI 61 potable-water epoxy interior and polyurethane-finish exterior
💧 Demolition of the old tanks, plus a temporary tank to keep water service running during construction

Two ground storage tanks are back in service for the City of Alamogordo following a full structural rehabilitation. The 5.0 MG Foothills GST (built 2000) and the 2.3 MG Lower Heights GST (built 1955).

Built to SSPC SP-10, AWWA D102, and NSF/ANSI 61 standards, this rehabilitation project included:
💧 Spot abrasive-blast inspection and replacement of unsuitable floor, roof, and shell plate
💧 Full interior abrasive-blast to near-white metal with a three-coat NSF/ANSI 61 coating system
💧 New solar-powered impressed-current cathodic protection system
💧 New OSHA-compliant interior ladder and exterior staircase with security door and roof access platform
💧 New roof vent, roof hatch, perimeter handrail, and stainless-steel level indicator

This 300,000-gallon welded steel water storage tank is now complete and serving the Village of Angel Fire, tripling the capacity of the aging Tank #7 it replaced.

Built to AWWA and NSF/ANSI 61 standards, this project included:
💧 Fully-welded steel tank fabrication, field er****on, and demolition of the original tank
💧 Interior and exterior protective coating system with internal and external cathodic protection
💧 Tidal wave mixing system and mechanical level indicator
💧 Interior and exterior ladders with safety-climb systems
💧 Shell manways, overflow pipe with weir box, roof vent, roof hatch, and roof-access handrails
