New rack and pinion on a Dodge Charger. Bolting it in is only half the job.

Electronic steering racks have to be programmed to the car’s body control module. Skip that and it’ll still drive, but you get a check engine light, the odd steering jerk, and eventually it shuts down.

Before you have a module replaced, make sure the shop can program it. We do it in-house.
