Last week, we hosted an open house at our Las Cruces office and welcomed more than 200 guests for a great evening of food, live music, and prizes. It was great to see so many longtime clients, municipal leaders, teaming partners, and friends from across Southern New Mexico all in one place.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the BHI team who helped make the evening such a success. We had a great time and really enjoyed the chance to connect outside the usual workday!

BHI CADD Manager Pam Thies recently joined a select group of 14 civil infrastructure professionals from around the world for Autodesk’s invite-only AutoCAD Inside the Factory event in Vancouver.

The group worked directly with Autodesk’s product team to test new features, share feedback, and discuss the future of AutoCAD and digital project delivery. We’re glad to have Pam representing BHI in these industry conversations and bringing that perspective back to our teams. Thanks, Pam, for your continued work advancing technology at BHI.

Route 66 turns 100 this year, and a piece of that history made a stop at BHI this week!

Ahead of the September 24 dedication, we had the chance to see the new National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark plaque on display in our Albuquerque lobby. The plaque will be installed at 4th & Central Avenue, where Route 66’s two historic alignments cross. All Route 66 traffic through Albuquerque passed through this intersection, traveling 4th Street from 1926–1937 and Central Avenue from 1937–1985.

We’re also proud that BHI’s Jeanette Walther, a Past President of the ASCE New Mexico Section, is leading the committee organizing the dedication. A pretty cool piece of Route 66 history to have in our lobby before it finds its permanent home downtown!

We're excited to share that BHI was named the 2026 American Subcontractors Association of NM Engineer of the Year! Voted on by subcontractors across the state, the award recognizes ethical practices, responsiveness, and being a great project partner. Skylar DeWeese accepted the award on behalf of BHI, with Jenn Smith joining the celebration.

Thank you to ASA-NM and its members for the recognition, and congratulations to all this year’s winners!

We're excited to share that Bohannan Huston has been ranked No. 3 among New Mexico’s midsize Top Workplaces by the Albuquerque Journal.

This marks the sixth time BHI has earned a place on the list. Because the recognition is based entirely on feedback from our employees through an independent Energage survey, it means even more.

In the feature article, BHI CEO and President Bruce Stidworthy shared, “We consistently care and think about what makes a great workplace, and then we create structure and culture and benefits to live up to that.” That commitment was also reflected in four 2026 Culture Badges and eight Culture Excellence awards recognizing trust, communication, leadership, innovation, professional development, employee well-being, and more.

67 years, four offices, and plenty of milestones along the way. Bohannan Huston was founded on July 20, 1959, in Albuquerque. Since then, we’ve grown across New Mexico and Colorado, expanded our teams in Denver and Grand Junction, and recently celebrated a new chapter with the opening of our new Las Cruces office.

While our footprint continues to grow, our focus remains the same: great people, strong partnerships, and work that supports the communities we call home.

Happy anniversary, BHI. Here’s to 67 years and what comes next.
