Dave is our mechanic. There isnโ€™t a vehicle that he canโ€™t fix. He works on everything from semi trucks to forklifts. Often times he has had to make a specialty tool to get the job done. What a great day on the golf course with some of the contractors we have the privilege of working with throughout the year! โ›ณ

Our Contractor Appreciation Golf Event isn't about who shoots the lowest scoreโ€”it's about spending time with good people, sharing some laughs, and saying thank you for their partnership.

From teeing off a toilet ๐Ÿšฝ to putting with a hammer ๐Ÿ”จ, competing for the shortest drive, and an award for ugliest clubs, there were plenty of memorable moments. We handed out prizes for everything from 1st place to last place because, at this event, everyone leaves with something.

For many of the participants, this is the only round of golf they play all yearโ€”and honestly, that's part of what makes it so much fun.

Around here, this custom home is known as "The Castle"โ€”a one-of-a-kind home designed and built by Adam Martinez and the team at Red's Construction.

What makes this project even more special is the history behind it. Adam gets his building materials from Alamosa Building Supply & La Jara Trading Post, just like his dadโ€”the founder of Red's Constructionโ€”did before him. It's a relationship built over generations, projects, and trust.

We're proud to have supplied materials for this incredible home and grateful for contractors like Adam who continue a tradition of quality craftsmanship in the San Luis Valley.

Wishing a happy 13-year anniversary to our yard foreman Daiel!

Daiel started with Alamosa Building Supply as a college wrestler hired to pick weeds, he quickly moved up in positions and has been our yard foreman for the last 9 years. If you have gotten a delivery or stopped in to see us, you have probably heard Daiel somewhere in the store or yard cracking jokes and putting positive vibes into the air.

He is a highly motivated individual, if he sets his mind to itโ€ฆ itโ€™s going to happen. Just this last October he ran his first ever Marathonโ€ฆ if you donโ€™t knowโ€ฆ. that is 26.2 milesโ€ฆ WOW!! Daiel is also active in the wrestling community; he has helped coach at almost all levels. Youth, high school, and college (men and women). His passion and his drive are what make him an absolute staple in our company. No matter what is going on that day you will catch Daiel with a smile and positive attitude motivating his fellow employees. We are so happy to have Daiel on our team!
