For over 25 years, DOER has offered a wide variety of services for subsea and harsh environment research and exploration. Our core expertise is in design and build of remotely operated vehicles and human occupied submersibles along with a wide variety of ancillary devices such as manipulators, thrusters, compensators, sampling devices and purpose built tools. The science class ROVs that DOER is be
st known for, are based around a common architecture with a high degree of design flexibility allowing us to tailor systems to specific client needs. Free flying and TMS options are available in either containerized vans or may be integrated to a mother ship. While the majority of our systems are used for ocean exploration, our team has expertise in solutions for challenging infrastructure inspections such as very long flooded tunnels, levees, and dams. In the realm of subsea imaging, DOER builds custom camera housings, lighting arrays, and provides expert integration services of these systems onto landers, ROVs, and submersibles. DOER built the first ABS classed housings for cinema cameras for 1000m manned applications and a variation for unmanned systems for 6000m. In the diver held camera realm, DOER built custom housings for Leica in collaboration with artists Matt Draper and Taylor Griffith. DOER is one of the few subsea firms to provide support services for large art installations including the Underwater Pavilions and Natural Discourse. Over the years, DOER has collaborated on a number of challenging projects bringing expertise to bear in support of clients in science, industry, law enforcement, military, expeditionary yachts, public safety and the arts. Our work goes beyond the initial build with help as needed in field support, logistics assistance, export control, environmental permitting, systems integration/troubleshooting and more. DOER conducts itself under the B-Corp guidelines of making a dollar while making a difference.
