A successful candidate will work within a small office setting, with minimal traffic from the general public. A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation to and from work each day is required. Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and general computer knowledge for email and internet is required. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. The secretary will perform:
- general administrative tasks (filing, photocopying, etc.),
- answering phones (directing calls and taking messages),
- maintaining general company record system for accurate files (electronic and paper),
- typing proposals and other documents,
- general office management,
- book keeping to include entering expenses, bill payment, receiving payments, reconciling accounts, etc.
- courier of documents within greater Birmingham area (vehicle provided or paid mileage),
- and notarizing documents.
This position is ideal for someone who is motivated, able to prioritize work assignment, and upon training capable of working without supervision. Current Notary Public or ability to become Notary Public is required. Training provided for company and industry specific tasks.
This full-time position is available to fill immediately at 35-40 hours per week, and includes competitive pay based on experience level as well as benefits (health, dental, and vision insurance; disability and life insurance).
