Village of Akron DPW crews are currently (3/18/26) taking down the Russell Park refreshment stand in preparation for a new structure. All work is expected to be completed before the facility is needed for the events held each spring.

Due to anticipated severe and potentially dangerous weather conditions, Akron Central School has announced that they are cancelling the Junior Varsity portion of the Jerry Drayer Holiday Wrestling Tournament scheduled for Monday, December 29.

The Varsity portion of the Tournament remains scheduled for Tuesday, weather permitting.
