Ready to take charge of a busy, no-nonsense service department and actually be appreciated for it? Bill’s Tractor & Equipment in Adkins is looking for a professional Service Writer who can own the service counter, keep techs productive, and deliver a great customer experience every day.
Who we are
Bill’s Tractor & Equipment is a long-established ag dealership serving landowners, ranchers, and contractors with tractors, implements, and top-quality zero-turn mowers. We’re growing our service business and need a pro who can help us turn a good shop into a powerhouse.
What you’ll do
• Be the primary point of contact for service customers from write-up to pickup
• Perform solid walk-arounds and capture accurate customer concerns and equipment details
• Open, manage, and close repair orders with clean documentation, labor, and parts
• Coordinate with techs and the service manager to schedule work and keep bays full
• Communicate clearly on estimates, approvals, status updates, and completed repairs
• Help drive maintenance and upsell opportunities that truly benefit the customer

What we’re looking for
• Proven experience as a Service Writer/Advisor (equipment, truck, or automotive)
• Strong mechanical understanding
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple customers and jobs
• Professional phone and in-person communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable working some Saturdays in a shop/yard environment
