When the enclosure disappears, the animal takes center stage.

At Ostrava Zoo, one of the largest zoos in the Czech Republic, stainless steel cable mesh was used to build an aviary that puts the birds first.

Custom mesh sizes and cable diameters were specified to meet the exact safety requirements of each species, while the open diamond structure nearly vanishes against the sky, giving visitors an unobstructed view of the animals inside.

The result is an enclosure that feels less like a barrier and more like a habitat.

For the EXPO 2010 Swiss Pavilion in Shanghai, stainless steel cable mesh was used to create a large scale, interactive façade. The mesh system functions as a structural grid, supporting thousands of suspended elements that respond dynamically to light and movement.
