🔥We are excited to announce the Adamsville Fire Department’s FIRST EVER Fundraising Event!! 🚒

Our firefighters work hard every day to protect and serve the citizens of our community, and now we are asking our community to come together and support the department that is always there when you need us most!

All donations will go directly toward helping the Adamsville Fire Department better serve the people of Adamsville. Funds will help provide the equipment, resources, training, and support our firefighters need to continue answering calls and keeping our community safe.

📣 NOW HIRING — YOUTH EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY!

We have some exciting news at Adamsville Mercantile!

Through funding awarded under a State of Tennessee youth employment program, we are now accepting applications for a grant-funded employment position designed to give young people an opportunity to gain valuable, real-world work experience.

✅ PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY — AGES 14–24

Applicants for this specific grant-funded position must be 14 through 24 years of age and meet all other applicable eligibility requirements of the youth employment program.

The age requirement for this position is established by the eligibility requirements of the grant-funded program and is not an age preference established by Adamsville Mercantile.

No previous retail experience is required. We’re looking for someone who is:

• Dependable and responsible
• Friendly and willing to help customers
• Willing to learn
• Able to follow directions
• Interested in learning how a local retail business operates
• Ready to gain valuable workplace experience and skills

Depending on age and applicable labor requirements, duties may include customer service, cashiering, price marking, stocking permitted merchandise, organizing merchandise, general store upkeep, and other age-appropriate retail responsibilities.

Applicants under 18 will only be assigned duties and scheduled hours permitted by applicable federal and Tennessee child-labor laws.

For applicants ages 14–15, work schedules will be structured around school and all applicable youth-employment restrictions. Certain equipment, machinery, tasks and other potentially hazardous duties are prohibited for minors and will not be assigned when prohibited by law.

🍕 Neighbors Helping Neighbors ❤️

Like so many in our community, we’ve been heartbroken to hear about the sudden layoffs at Wise. We know that losing a job without warning creates uncertainty for individuals and families, and we want to do our small part to help.

Beginning immediately for the next 2 weeks, Hometown Pizza will be offering one free meal per day to anyone affected by the Wise layoffs.

🍕 Meal Options:

For Families: Large 1-Topping Pizzas (the number of pizzas provided will be based on family size) with bottled waters or canned drinks.

For Individuals: One Personal 1-Topping Pizza with a bottled water or canned drink.

To receive a meal, simply show a Wise employee badge, recent pay stub, or separation paperwork.

To help us serve as many people as possible, meals are limited to one meal per household or individual, per day, and this program will continue while supplies and funding allow.

We’re also launching our “No Neighbor Goes Hungry” fundraiser.

When you place an order at Hometown Pizza, our checkout register will give you the opportunity to donate any amount to help provide meals for families affected by the Wise layoffs.

Every dollar donated goes directly toward feeding our neighbors in need. Hometown Pizza is not keeping any portion of these donations—100% of the funds collected will be used to provide meals for those impacted by the layoffs.

At Hometown Pizza, we believe that a community takes care of its own. We can’t solve every problem, but together we can make sure that no one has to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

Today, our Adamsville Mercantile family is mourning alongside one of our own.

We ask that you please keep Butch and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve the loss of a beloved family member. During times like these, the love and support of a caring community can mean more than words can express.

We also ask that you continue praying for Butch as he continues his own health journey. He is still unable to return to the store, and while we miss seeing him every day, our greatest hope is that he takes the time he needs to heal and receives the very best care possible. His health and well-being are far more important than anything else.

Butch is an invaluable part of the Adamsville Mercantile family, and there isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t miss his smile, his kindness, and the dedication he brings to our team.

Please join us in lifting Butch and his entire family up in prayer during this incredibly difficult time. We know they will feel the strength of this amazing community surrounding them with love, comfort, and support.
