Merrell Trail (WMMBA) Update. WMMBA has an open line of communication with the construction firm and project management team supporting the West Michigan Sports Commission expansion at Premier Park. Their construction will have minimal and temporary impacts on the the Wilderness trail at Merrell. Out of an abundance of caution, we are closing the trail system from Monday February 3 to Friday February 7 while they operate heavy equipment near the trail. (The Weather is going to be j***y anyway) [email protected] with questions about this closure or any of the others we have scheduled in 2025.

Everyone, meet your Manhattan Park MTB Trail Coordinator! Brian Miller is an incredible advocate for the community, specifically with youth riders. His ongoing involvement in MiSCA and The West Michigan Coyotes is very impressive and we’re excited that he’s taking on this brand new trail in East Grand Rapids. With that said, the trail is NOT complete yet! As you know, October was extremely rainy and wet, and building is all weather dependent. We advise everyone to stay off the trail, as trail use during construction, while wet, will damage the new trail. We’ll keep updates coming, but we hope you’re as stoked as we are! We’ll see you tomorrow at Ball Perkins for our volunteer trail day.#WMMBA
