3 months ago a customer came in to the shop with his 2012. 3500 GMC along with this brand New torsion bar and asked me to swap out the old one that was original... Well here is a good example of how horrible the quality of "Recycled" Chinese Steel really is.... Customer is very lucky he was not on the highway doing 75 mph when this thing snapped.. For those of you who I familiar with the purpose of a torsion bar ,They are part of the front end suspension And act as Weight bearing Spring Versus coil springs And also for ride height adjustment... So when this thing snapped the suspension collapsed causing tired to jam up in the fender well .Apparently forgot to take a before picture, But this picture Is of The height It is supposed to be at After installing a new made in America torsion bar....
