lubricants and fluids are the first items you should check and cross off the list, these are; engine oil(this should be completely changed while others can simply be topped up), brake fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, Automatic or manual transmission fluid and wiper fluid (using water is fine)
Filters too should also be changed ie oil filter(it's almost useless to change the oil and leave out this one, however bad the economy is 😅), fuel filter, air filter and the ac/cabin filter. Spark plugs too should be replaced.
Now comes the checks.📋Brake pads, brake drums/discs, coolant hoses, the battery and charging systems, timing belt/chain, power and fan belts, tires and wiper blades. These are only replaced if they're worn out.

You could take an extra step and do car diagnosis where a scan tool📈 used to read trouble codes in your car's ECU.
