π Discovery β A cordless drill? Wait, you can do that?
Modern buildings require the installation of various types of equipment: air conditioners, gas boilers, ventilation and heat-recovery systems. All of this requires connections to electricity, plumbing, water supply and more. As a result, there is a need to drill holes in walls in a diameter range of 32 to 202 mm. Traditionally, such tasks require specialised equipment β diamond drilling machines.
But what if DISTAR offered drill bits that could be used with equipment already available to most professionals: rotary hammers, drills and cordless screwdrivers? π§
Meet Discovery diamond core drill bits. π
The drills are only 150 mm long, but with 200 mm and 300 mm extensions, you can drill to virtually any depth. S10 and SDS+ adapters allow the drill to be mounted on both rotary hammers and conventional drills. Even a cordless screwdriver. π
The short 150 mm drills are easier to handle thanks to their lower weight. Their shorter length provides greater stability during operation and minimal runout.
π― A spring-loaded centering guide makes it easy to start drilling into the material while maintaining a clean, neat edge around the hole.
Thanks to M18 or 1 1/4 UNC adapters, the drills can also be mounted on diamond drilling machines, making it possible to drill holes in heavily reinforced concrete.
Discovery drills are also an excellent alternative to carbide burrs. They are faster, quieter, cleaner, and cause significantly less unnecessary damage to the material. β‘
