[Eng below] У Львові та області потужності променевої терапії сьогодні не покривають реальний попит на лікування. У межах лікарні 1969 року — одного з ключових медичних центрів міста з 15 відділеннями — з’являється новий корпус дистанційно-променевої терапії. Він не існує окремо, а продовжує систему, що вже працює на межі своїх можливостей.

Тут діагностика, планування і терапія зібрані в єдиний безперервний медичний контур. Ззовні — стриманий об’єм без акцентної форми. Всередині — інший ритм: світло, навігація, контроль простору, поєднання теплого мінімалізму, скандинавського та біофільного підходу.

Це високотехнологічна медицина з лінійними прискорювачами, КТ та вимогами радіаційної безпеки. Інклюзивність і доступність закладені в основу просторових рішень для всіх маршрутів пацієнта.

In Lviv and the surrounding region, radiotherapy capacity today does not fully meet the real demand for treatment. Within the 1969 hospital — one of the city’s key medical centres with 15 departments — a new remote radiotherapy unit is being introduced. It does not exist as a standalone object, but extends an already operating system that is working at its limit.

Diagnostics, treatment planning, and radiotherapy delivery are brought together into a continuous medical loop. Externally, the building reads as a restrained volume without an expressive form. Inside, the rhythm changes: light, navigation, and spatial control define the environment, combining warm minimalism with Scandinavian and biophilic approaches.

It is a highly technological medical facility, equipped with linear accelerators, CT diagnostics, and designed according to strict radiation safety requirements. Inclusivity and accessibility are embedded in the spatial logic for all patient routes.

[Eng below] Яким має бути житловий район, у якому справді хочеться жити?

Наш проєкт посів 1 місце у конкурсі — і став дослідженням того, яким може бути сучасне міське середовище: не набір окремих будівель, а цілісний простір, сформований навколо людини, пішохідних маршрутів, природи та щоденних сценаріїв життя.

У центрі концепції — велика пішохідна алея, громадські простори, різні типи житла та квартали з власним архітектурним характером, натхненним європейськими містами. Простір, який працює не лише функціонально, а й емоційно — як місце, де хочеться залишатися надовго.

What does a residential district look like when people truly want to live there?

Our project won 1st place in the competition — exploring a new vision of urban living: not as a collection of separate buildings, but as a cohesive environment shaped around people, walkability, nature, and everyday life.

At the heart of the concept is a central pedestrian promenade, public spaces, diverse housing typologies, and quarters inspired by the architectural character of different European cities. A place designed not only to function well, but to feel alive and meaningful.

[Eng below] Соціальне житло на Миколайчука» у Львові — це про місто і людей, для яких воно будується.

Ми долучилися до важливого соціального архітектурного конкурсу у співпраці з нашими партнерами — DRMA. Разом ми працювали над концепцією житлового району, який поєднує житло, громадські простори та інфраструктуру для щоденного життя.

Основна ідея — створити середовище, де будинки формують цілісний квартал: відкритий до громади, зручний для мешканців і адаптований до сучасних потреб міста.

Архітектура району побудована на різноманітності — але підпорядкована єдиній логіці. Тут поєднуються різні типи житла, громадські будівлі та простори для взаємодії — від внутрішніх дворів до спільних терас.

Дякуємо Львівській міській раді за можливість долучитися до конкурсу з настільки важливою метою — створення якісного житлового середовища для громади.

“Social Housing on Mykolaychuka” in Lviv is about the city and the people it is built for.

We joined this important social architecture competition in collaboration with our partners — DRMA. Together, we developed a concept for a residential district that integrates housing, public spaces, and everyday infrastructure.

The key idea was to create an environment where buildings form a coherent urban quarter — open to the community, comfortable for residents, and responsive to contemporary city needs.

The architecture of the district is based on diversity, yet guided by a single spatial logic. The project combines different housing typologies, public buildings, and spaces designed to encourage interaction — from inner courtyards to shared terraces.

We thank the Lviv City Council for the opportunity to take part in a competition with such an important mission — creating a high-quality living environment for the community.

[Eng below] Ми теж стали частиною Ярмарку професій від Kharkiv School of Architecture — і це був той випадок, коли енергія спільноти відчувається буквально в повітрі.

Від abmk до події долучилась наша HR-менеджерка Юлія, яка провела лекцію про те, як скласти резюме, що дійсно працює. Говорили чесно і по суті: як презентувати свій досвід, на що звертають увагу архітектори і чому CV — це не просто документ, а ваша перша комунікація з компанією.

Було багато запитань, живого діалогу і, що найцінніше, — щирого інтересу від учасників.

Для нас такі події — це не лише про присутність, а про обмін досвідом і підтримку нового покоління архітекторів. Бо сильна індустрія починається з людей.

We were glad to be part of the Career Fair by Kharkiv School of Architecture — one of those events where you can truly feel the energy of the community.

From abmk, our HR specialist Yulia joined the event and held a talk on how to build a CV that actually works. We focused on practical things: how to present your experience, what employers really look at, and why a CV is more than just a document — it’s your first communication with a company.

There were lots of questions, open discussions, and most importantly — genuine interest from the participants.

For us, being part of events like this is not just about presence, but about sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of architects. Because a strong industry always starts with people.

[Eng below] «Quo vadis?» — куди ти йдеш?

Це питання з’явилося на фасаді цієї вілли понад століття тому. Сьогодні воно звучить знову — вже в іншому контексті.

У межах екосистеми реабілітаційного центру UNBROKEN у Брюховичах історична вілла «Quo vadis» отримує нову роль. Будівля, яка колись була приватною резиденцією, згодом — сиротинцем, сьогодні стає частиною середовища, що підтримує людей у процесі відновлення.

Нашим завданням було не просто відновити будівлю, а знайти баланс між історичною архітектурою та новою функцією. Реконструкція вілли стала частиною ширшої просторової логіки центру, де архітектура працює не як декорація, а як інструмент підтримки, спокою і руху вперед.

Іноді найважливіші зміни відбуваються не через форму, а через сенс.
Саме такою стала трансформація цієї вілли.

“Quo vadis?” — where are you going?

This question appeared on the façade of the villa more than a century ago. Today, it resonates again — in a very different context.

Within the ecosystem of the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center in Briukhovychi, the historic Quo vadis villa is taking on a new role. Once a private residence and later an orphanage, the building is becoming part of an environment designed to support people during the process of recovery.

Our task was not simply to restore the structure, but to find a careful balance between its historical architecture and a new function. The reconstruction of the villa became part of a broader spatial logic of the UNBROKEN campus — where architecture works not as decoration, but as a quiet framework for recovery, reflection, and moving forward.

Sometimes the most meaningful transformations happen not through form, but through purpose.
This project is one of those transformations.

Українська реновація сьогодні балансує між двома станами — бути і здаватися. Саме цю межу між реальним відновленням і декоративною імітацією обговорювали під час Архітектурного MeetUpʼу від Pragmatika

Ми раді були стати частиною цієї професійної розмови. Наш керівник архітектурного відділу Данило Кінаш долучився до дискусії про чесність архітектурних рішень, відповідальність перед контекстом і про те, як уникати поверхневих реновацій у складних умовах дефіциту ресурсів.

Для нас важливо не лише проєктувати, а й брати участь у формуванні фахового діалогу — говорити про складні процеси, ставити незручні питання й шукати рішення, які мають довгострокову цінність для міста.

Ukrainian renovation today balances between two states — being and appearing. This fine line between real renewal and decorative imitation was at the center of discussion during the Architectural MeetUp on December 16.

We were glad to be part of this professional dialogue. Danylo Kinash, Head of the Architectural Department at abmk, joined the panel discussion to speak about the honesty of architectural decisions, responsibility toward context, and how to avoid superficial renovation in times of limited resources.

For us, architecture goes beyond design practice. It also means contributing to professional discourse — addressing complex processes, asking difficult questions, and seeking solutions that create long-term value for the city.
