The AEC industry is waking up to the vital importance of digital transformation. It's time to move beyond ROI debates and treat technology as essential as electricity and water. Let's scale up for a brighter future!💪

🇺🇸 NORTH AMERICA:
Great presentation of NA trends by Shaun Hester. Few highlights:

🔹 Construction Contractors are early adopters and innovation drivers in NA.
🔹«If you not up skilling yourself and not develop organization – we show to the door» this is how people say in NY
🔹 GCs in US are very proactive by using BIM & VDC at the site
🔹 Simplify and use. Avoid tackling complex issues initially; take it one step at a time, stay consistent.
🔹 Identify champions on VDC& Contractor sides.
🔹 VDC mentor from the beginning for all stakeholders at the construction site.
🔹 Ask contractors what they want? Keep asking!
🔹 Easy access to Model and design docs from BIM kiosk (screens at the site, mobile app).
🔹 Patience is key. Be repetitive and diligent

🇦🇺AUSTRALIA & 🇳🇿 NEW ZEALAND:
Fantastic presentation by Chris Mawson Australia and New Zealand is completely different world in our industry! 🌎 They're leading the charge globally in BIM and VDC, forging ahead without waiting for national BIM standards! 🚀

These regions are setting the bar with mega-billion projects, utilizing BIM and VDC in design and construction, showcasing how it's done right! 👏🏻
Some points:
🔹A lot of Infrastructure BIM projects, hundreds of them, billions $ budgets
🔹 Average project 70 000-100 000 drawings, 50 000-80 000 tracked issues to solve
🔹 Real road companies like KiwiRail mandatory require Collaboration and issue tracking platform and CDE on they projects
🔹 Collaboration platform and issue tracking is key, what people use daily
🔹 Appreciate great modeling, Including logistics and construction equipment
🔹 Visualization is key; Innovation and BIM comes from Designers to Contractors
🔹 Quality control and HSE issues tracking
