We created a luxurious atmosphere with our signature chandelier at GRAND HOTEL ✨
As part of the lighting project for one of the most recognizable hotels in Lviv — Grand Hotel — we designed a chandelier that fully reflects the character of the space and serves as its central feature. The composition is complemented by accent interior lighting that highlights the architecture, textures, and shapes the overall atmosphere of the main lobby.
The foundation of the composition is formed by unique glass plates crafted in our glassblowing laboratory. These elements feature a two-layer structure, where each layer has its own specific function: first, a textured inner surface that seems to radiate warmth, followed by an amalgam coating that protects the material from damage while providing maximum reflectivity. On top of that, the chandelier fragments were finished with additional tinting.
Most people are used to chandeliers being illuminated from within, but due to the structure and materials of this object, we decided to direct the light from the outside instead.
We approached the chandelier lighting the same way we approach sculpture lighting, using different optics from multiple angles to achieve an anti-glare effect. Narrow and delicate beams create warm accents, medium beams emphasize the volumes, while wide beams unite everything into one unique composition.
The interior lighting continues this logic: accent lighting helps build the hierarchy of the space, creates depth, and balances intimacy with elegance, enhancing the emotional perception of the lobby.
Together with Володимир Непийвода YOD Group, we created a true work of art that now decorates the central hall of the hotel in the heart of Lviv.
Thanks to the Expolight Cloud Control System service, both the chandelier and the lighting scenarios of the space are programmed to automatically change four times a day with smooth, seamless transitions.
