MENG YAO, also known as MAN YAO, is a tattoo artist based in California and a member of the renowned JESS YEN FAMILY.

Bold black foundations are contrasted with turquoise, orange, red, and other highly saturated colors, creating compositions reminiscent of stained glass or enamel artwork.

MENG YAO is especially skilled in transforming existing tattoos through bright, high-saturation color cover-ups. Rather than simply concealing an old tattoo beneath darker pigment, he restructures the entire composition with solid black foundations, high-value outlines, and carefully divided color blocks—turning visual limitations into an entirely new piece of art.
