As we approach the rainy season and the fiscal year budget, Government Agencies, Decision-Makers and other Stakeholders are challenged with determining" "How much money should we spend on flood mitigation works?"

This technical paper investigated two economic (2) approaches typically implemented and practiced in the industry using a common project. The disparity in results highlights the inherent subjectivity involved in selecting theoretical frameworks for solving real life problems (in this instance at least).
