Our CR3 India team has completed maintenance on five pumps on a Crude Distillation Unit at a refinery in western India, returning each one to service ahead of the client's planned schedule.

The scope covered mechanical seal and bearing replacements and full pump overhauls on pumps in critical hydrocarbon transfer and circulation services.

In total, the team completed 24 planned days of work in 18, a 25% reduction against plan. These pumps keep feed moving to downstream units and help hold process conditions stable, so every day out of service counts.

In their letter of appreciation, the client noted the team's "𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱" and said their efforts set "𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦, 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵-𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵-𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯."

Thank you to everyone involved, from planning and engineering to ex*****on, safety, operations and our site partners.

We also thank our client for their recognition and their continued trust in our team.

Catalyst handling on offshore platforms is among the more hazardous jobs in our industry. On a recent project for a multinational oil and gas operator, two mercury removal units required a full catalyst change-out, in confined spaces contaminated with mercury, arsenic and other toxins.

Historically, catalyst removal from vessels like these has meant sending people into confined, contaminated spaces. Robotic handling removes that need. On this project, we completed the work without a single confined-space entry.

We deployed our Zone-rated CR3 Rover, custom-engineered to fit the 20-inch manways. Fitted with pneumatic extraction tools and an explosion-proof camera, our team operated and monitored the Rover in real time from a safe distance.

The catalyst was removed with zero personnel entry, the platform kept running, and the maintenance window stayed on track.

As regulators tighten the rules on human exposure in hazardous environments, robotic catalyst handling is moving from a specialist option to standard practice. CR3 operates a fleet of purpose-built Rovers built for exactly this work.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵

A refinery client in Singapore needed critical static equipment removed during a scheduled turnaround, with the cutting scope sitting on the project's critical path. The plenum, primary cyclones and secondary cyclones all required precise cuts so replacement equipment could be installed without adjustment.

CR3 combined diamond wire and hydro-abrasive cutting methods, using guides and magnetic track systems to control material loss and maintain precision. Nozzles were positioned at agreed angles to reduce the bevel preparation needed by the downstream mechanical contractor.

The attached case study covers the full scope, cutting methods, and outcomes for the client.

𝗡𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆.

That's what CR3 Malaysia has just marked, alongside passing 2 million safe working hours, the latest milestone in a safety record that spans every region we operate in.

The achievement was recognised across all of CR3's operations in Malaysia, with teams at every location marking the occasion.

Well done to the whole Malaysia team, and thank you to our customers there for their continued support and partnership in safe operations.

While this achievement centres on Malaysia, the safety systems and culture behind it are applied consistently across CR3's regions - from Thailand and Singapore to India, Vietnam, and the Middle East.

The same standards, procedures, and reporting discipline operate group-wide, so this result reflects how CR3 works everywhere, not just in one market.

CR3 Malaysia is now an ECITB-approved training provider, having completed Levels 1 to 3 for mechanical joint integrity training covering hand torquing, hydraulic torquing, and hydraulic tensioning.

Malaysia is the fourth CR3 operation to achieve ECITB approval, following Thailand, India, and Singapore. This extends accredited training capability across four of CR3's operations.

ECITB approval confirms that a training provider meets the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board's standards for delivering technical training and qualifications. Completing Levels 1 to 3 means CR3 Malaysia can now deliver the full progression of this training in-country, from foundation through to advanced competency.

Our trainers in Malaysia deliver hands-on programmes in mechanical joint assembly, giving personnel the skills to carry out these techniques safely and to the required standard.

Our CR3 Malaysia team mobilised within a day of the callout. On inspection, they found the grid and three sets of wire mesh buried within the bed.

The team unloaded the catalyst and inspected the top and bottom mesh. With the vessel cleared and checked, they reloaded to the approved loading diagram, reinstalled three layers of mesh, and completed the support grid installation before handing the reactor back for box-up.

We delivered the full scope in two days, safely and on schedule. The client was impressed with our response time, ex*****on and result.

Unplanned catalyst work needs a team that can mobilise fast and get the details right. CR3 does both, which is why operators have trusted us with their reactors for over three decades.

The day marks the anniversary of 15 August 1947, when India gained independence after nearly two centuries of British colonial rule. It is observed each year with flag hoisting, the national anthem, and remembrance of those who worked towards independence.

Our own celebrations began with the flag hoisting at our offices and operations yards, as colleagues stood together for the unfurling of the tricolour and the national anthem.

The CR3 offices were decorated for the occasion, and the day continued with a cake cutting and a few party games, with everyone getting into the spirit.

It was a good moment to step away from the day-to-day, come together as a team, and mark the occasion.

That figure reflects consistent, careful work by our employees, contractors, clients, and partners. It reflects a safety culture where people take responsibility for doing the job properly and looking out for one another.

Behind the number are countless everyday decisions: someone stopping to flag a hazard, checking a procedure, or speaking up when something didn't look right. That is what keeps people safe.

Project teams across our sites marked the milestone together, taking a moment to recognise the shared effort behind it.

Thank you to everyone who played a part. We're proud of what the team has built, and we stay focused on the goal that matters most: everyone going home safe at the end of every shift.

Well done to the entire CR3 India team.
