𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝’𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐰-𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 – 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

With a strong commitment to sustainability and engagement with key stakeholders, Siam City Cement has introduced INSEE Low Carbon Concrete in the “𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓”, the first of its kind in Thailand. With 17 student teams participating, this competition is held in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering from three leading public universities in Thailand, which have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support education:

1. Kasetsart University
2. Prince of Songkla University
3. King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok

This year, the Kasetsart University (Bang Khen Campus) student team won the awards in the 'Low Carbon' category, while the Prince of Songkla University student team received the awards in the 'Precision Compressive Strength' category.

The event took place on February 21-22, 2025, at Kasetsart University, utilizing INSEE Petch Plus, a low-carbon cement product that significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions during production. This cement has a carbon footprint more than 50 kg CO₂ lower per ton compared to ordinary Portland cement.

Co-designed by faculty members from the three universities and technical services teams from Siam City Cement, the competition aims to raise awareness about reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting the use of environmentally friendly products. It brings together civil engineering students, university professors, and key influencers in the construction industry to drive sustainable innovation.

Starting a career at Siam City Cement is an enriching journey from day one. Our 28 new joiners recently experienced this firsthand through an immersive introduction to our core operations at our Saraburi plants.

Welcomed by Mr. Serefin Bugeja, Senior Vice President of Saraburi Operations, they were warmly greeted and inspired by his words on the importance of their roles in driving the company’s legacy of excellence and innovation.

This exclusive opportunity took them deep into the heart of our cement manufacturing process. They witnessed firsthand the sourcing of raw materials, understanding the complexities involved as these essential elements are transformed from their raw state to high-quality cement, ready to shape the world’s infrastructure. As part of this journey, they explored our advanced laboratories where the quality of our cement is tested. Here, they saw the precision and dedication required to ensure every product meets the highest standards of strength, durability, and environmental sustainability.

During their visit, new joiners engaged with seasoned experts, from engineers, safety leaders, to laboratory specialists, who passionately shared their knowledge and experience. By seeing the processes that underpin our products and learning about the technology and rigorous testing that maintain our industry leadership, these new team members gained a holistic view of what makes Siam City Cement an industry leader.

This experience not only provided technical insights but also instilled a strong sense of purpose and belonging. It’s more than an introduction; it’s the beginning of a career journey that makes a difference.

SCCC Honored by Thailand's Ministry of Labour

On August 29, 2024, Siam City Cement Plc. (SCCC), represented by Ms. Duangporn Boosarawongse, Senior Vice President of People & Organizational Performance, proudly received an honorary shield from the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour. The award was presented by Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, during a ceremony at the Ministry's conference room.

In 2023-2024, SCCC contributed 215 tons of cement to support mason's training in construction courses across 40 provinces, as part of the Department's annual skill development plan. During the year, this initiative provided essential training to over 1,200 individuals, helping to elevate mason's construction skills nationwide.

For more than 25 years, SCCC has been dedicated to this collaboration, successfully training over 26,000 people. This long-standing partnership aims to enhance the construction skills of Thai workers, create income opportunities, and reduce unemployment at both the community and national levels. This initiative is also closely aligned with our CSR goals under the INSEE Sustainability Ambition 2030.

In 2023, SCCC Thailand Cement Business has welcomed 10 new engineering graduates into our first batch of Junior Engineering Trainee (JET) program. This program is designed to develop new engineers with strong capabilities and potential, providing them with opportunities to enhance their knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities to prepare them for future roles within SCCC.

วันที่ 9 พฤษภาคม 2567 - กลุ่มบริษัทปูนซีเมนต์นครหลวง โดย คุณมนตรี นิธิกุล ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร ธุรกิจปูนซีเมนต์ของประเทศไทย ส่งมอบโรงเรียนภายใต้โครงการโรงเรียนสีเขียวปีที่ 15 "โรงเรียนตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนปูนอินทรี 50 ปี" (บ้านห้วยกระแสน) จ.อำนาจเจริญ ให้แก่กองบัญชาการตำรวจตระเวนชายแดน โดยมี พลตำรวจโท ยงเกียรติ มนปราณีตผู้บัญชาการตำรวจตะเวนชายแดน เป็นผู้รับมอบและร่วมกันเปิดป้ายโรงเรียนอย่างเป็นทางการ

บริษัทฯได้สนับสนุนงบประมาณในการก่อสร้างโรงเรียนและปรับปรุงอาคารเรียนไปแล้ว 33 โรงเรียน เพื่อสร้างโอกาสทางการศึกษาให้แก่เด็กและเยาวชนในพื้นที่ชายแดนห่างไกลให้เกิดการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน บนพื้นฐานของการพึ่งพาตัวเองได้ โดยมีเด็กๆ และชุมชนใกล้เคียงโรงเรียนกว่า 70,000 คน ได้รับโอกาสในการศึกษาและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตให้ดีขึ้น ตามแนวทางและเป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยังยืนของกลุ่มบริษัทฯปี 2573 ที่มุ่งสร้างคุณค่าและความผูกพันที่ดีกับผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียสำคัญทุกฝ่าย

Under INSEE Green School Project which runs now in its 15 consecutive year. this CSR project supports funding for the construction and improvement of 33 schools to provide educational opportunities for children and youth in remote border areas of Thailand, enabling sustainable development based on self-reliance. Over 70,000 children and communities near these schools have been given opportunities for education and improved quality of life, aligning with INSEE Sustainability Ambition 2030.

When it comes to the impact on our environment, it is important for all of us to make a well-informed decision.

In 2023, INSEE has proudly declared that we are the first cement manufacturer in Thailand to acquire and promote Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for clinker and all cement types.

Additionally, products from INSEE overseas subsidiaries in Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and our business joint venture in Cambodia have also received EPD certification, underscoring INSEE Group's dedication to environmental stewardship.

EPDs demonstrate clarity in the environmental footprint of the company’s cement products and enables the transparent evaluation of cement
solutions for project owners and the designers of these projects.

Siam City Cement Public Company Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited, represented by Dr. Harald Link (second from left), President of B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited, with the objective of procuring alternative energy sources to promote environmentally sustainable business practices.

The collaborative effort is centered around the establishment of rooftop and ground-mounted solar energy projects within the facilities of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited in Saraburi Province. This project boasts a combined production capacity of 102 megawatts peak and will be implemented in two phases over a period of 5 years.

Mr. Montri Nithikul (third from right), Chief Executive Officer of Thailand Cement Business under Siam City Cement Public Company Limited, underscored the company's dedication to conducting ethical business practices while prioritizing environmental responsibility and community welfare, encapsulated by the principles of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
