One of the things I love about being in Silicon Valley at this point in history is that we’re witnessing the infancy of AI—technology that is growing exponentially and reshaping industries.

I’m actively exploring how to leverage AI in both life and work. While I’m not building neural networks, I’m focused on understanding how AI tools can improve efficiency, creativity, and decision-making.

As part of my time back in California, I’ve made it a personal mission to dive deeper into AI and embrace the opportunities it offers here in the Heartland of Tech. Looking forward to attending the upcoming AI Wednesdays meetup and connecting with others who are just as passionate about the future of AI.

Had a fantastic time last week at a startup pitch and networking event in Palo Alto!

It was an incredible opportunity to meet and connect with fellow startup founders, tech innovators, and investors. The energy in the room was inspiring! I got a ton of positive feedback about Hyperspd—several people expressed excitement about our bikes and even mentioned they can’t wait to buy one once we hit the market! 🚲💥

I also received some invaluable advice from investors on how to fine-tune our pitch moving forward.

Looking forward to more networking opportunities in Silicon Valley and continuing to build momentum for Hyperspd!

Last week I got to pitch Hyperspd's business to a room full of VCs, Angels and techies at the Unicorn Cup Semi Final Round for Asian Founders! It was great fun!

Hyperspd didn't win this round, that honor went to Clipr, an AI company serving police departments, already has the FBI's seal of approval, and is in the midst of raising Series B. Hyperspd got amazing feedback though, and I got to practice fielding tough questions from VCs in Silicon Valley. It was also my first time piloting the new version of our pitch deck. A ton of people came up to me afterwards and told me that despite not winning our business made the most sense to them and they LOVED the way I fielded the investor questions. Straight, to the point and they could tell I really knew my stuff.

They were also BLOWN AWAY when they found out it was my first time pitching in Silicon Valley. So it was an amazing first outing for Hyperspd! We even got a VC asking for our deck so she can pass it around to her network!

Things I learned:
1. They only gave me 3 minutes to pitch so I need to condense down what I say.
2. I used to teach Q&A techniques for startups and MBA students. Those techniques work VERY well even with VCs.
3. People love our slides. Yeah I was once a presentation design consultant so I make good slides

I'm committing myself to at least one event per week, ideally two, and just go out and meet people.

P.S. - Silicon Valley is very much a Pay to Play sort of place. We had to apply but once accepted we still were expected to buy a $270 ticket to pitch. Just the cost of networking and exposure
