During long rainy periods, storage tanks, surface water intakes and even boreholes become more vulnerable to microbial contamination.

To keep your water system safe, it’s important to sanitize your storage tanks with sodium hypochlorite. Here’s a clear, practical checklist:

✅ What to do now:
1. Clean the tank – remove sediment, biofilm, and organic debris.
2. Add sodium hypochlorite at the proper shock-chlorination concentration.
3. Mix or circulate the water so the chlorine distributes evenly.
