In 2004, SCI won a big contract with major semiconductor company that issued the design and delivery of 31 plasma systems between 2004 and 2005. Due to manufacturing costs, SCI decided to partner with a Singaporean OEM manufacturer in order to meet increasing customers' demands. In 2006, SCI Italy decided to move all operations to Singapore to fully take advantage of all synergies with his manufacturing partners; and then SCI Plasma Pte Ltd was created. Since then, all operations have been transferred to the Singaporean company which was later renamed SCI Automation Pte Ltd.
