Precise length measurement – non-contact and inline:
Our LSV Laser Surface Velocimeters automatically determine length based on the actual feed speed as the material passes the measurement point. Even in red-hot, harsh production environments, these robust laser-based inline sensors deliver reliable measurement results at all times.

A typical application is cut-to-length control in flame cutting systems (see image), where even glowing slabs are cut precisely to size. The optical measurement principle eliminates slip and wear, as the measurement is performed without contact with the material.

Our LSV systems have proven themselves worldwide—for example in rolling mills, continuous casting, and high-temperature applications. Integration into PLC and production systems is straightforward via standard interfaces.

When components become white-hot, conventional sensors reach their limits—or even distort results due to their own mass.

How can you efficiently automate the vibration analysis of MEMS in the cleanroom – down to the wafer level?
With the Polytec MSA Micro System Analyzers, this is now even easier:
The systems are now also available in an ISO-3 certified cleanroom configuration and support script and recipe control for automated measurement sequences.

The result:
Complete wafer maps can be processed automatically – including positioning, autofocus, frequency sweep and mode shape scan. In this way, MEMS components can be reproducibly analyzed from the single die to the entire wafer and integrated into fab-controlled workflows.
