It was with great sadness that we learnt our colleague Yau Kian Sing from MD2 passed away tragically in Malaysia on his way home from work on the evening of Friday, July 24.

Kian Sing, who joined us in 2021, was a diligent staff member who will be missed by his colleagues and friends at Nutek. Nutek has reached out to the family and offered our assistance.

We convey our sincere condolences to his wife and family.

Nutek was invited by SIMTech (Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology) for a visit to their facility and lab at CleanTech Two, Block B, on 24 June. Around 18 staff from Nutek, representing MD1, MD2, MD3, and BD, attended the visit.
The event was hosted by Mr Tan Chee Tat, Senior Director (Tech-Biz Development). Mr Tan briefed the team on various initiatives and their benefits offered by SIMTech. After the presentation, we toured the facility, witnessing their advanced manufacturing facilities and briefed on the latest technology used.

Our Business Development team attended the Semicon South East Asia 2026 held in Kuala Lumpur from 5 to 7 May. This event is a major exposition and conference for the electronics manufacturing supply chain, especially semiconductor equipment, materials, and services. It connects decision-makers, suppliers, engineers, and technologists to view the latest products and innovations, and explore up-to-date market and technology trends. Over 700 exhibitors were registered for the event.

Nutek successfully completed its 2026 ISO 9001 and 14000 Recertification Audits with no Corrective Action Requirement (CAR) issued. The audit was conducted on 28 to 30 April by Mr Ernest Neo, Mr Chan Kim Yam, Mr Rahgu, Mr Ahmad Dhahlan and Mr Jong Hoy (the last 2 personnel not in the picture) from SGS. We thank them for their guidance and feedback given to us during the audit. Nutek will continue to uphold our strong compliance structure, and we look forward to next year's audit.

Nutek participated in the Semiconductor Business Connect 2026, held on 16 April at Singapore EXPO hall.
Participating SMEs and MNCs have the opportunity to explore key opportunity frontiers: intelligent manufacturing (AI-enabled systems and even humanoids), green and resource-smart operations, scaling with lab-to-fab innovation and semicon supply chain, as well as talent attraction. Our Business Development team and MD 2 attended the event.

Nutek participated in Productronica India 2026, held in Greater Noida, India, from April 8 to 10. The premier trade fair showcases innovative electronics manufacturing technology and business opportunities in India and the region. The show featured 733 exhibitors from 29 countries and attracted over 21,000 visitors. The booth was set up by our Indian partner, Maxim SMT and our CEO, Mr Yeo, and Joe Ong from Business Development attended the event.

CNC Machinist/Programmer

Job Description:

Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models
Prepare material and tools as stated in the set-up sheet.
Produces machined parts by programming, Set-up and operating the CNC Milling and Turning machine.
Checking critical features and dimensions.
Report on blunt or broken tools.
Report on material required for production at low level.
Perform proper maintenance procedures, keeping the machine/tools and workplace clean.
Requirements:
Good proficiency in CNC/ CAD CAM Programming.
Having similar experience in Precision parts programming
Well-versed in CADCAM, preference in Mastercam 2D and 3D programming
Preferably CNC Milling/Turning Machine background
Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
Familiar with Fanuc System and SolidCAM software
Able to do setting and programming
