As the ITS World Congress 2026 in Gangneung, South Korea comes to a close, we look back on an inspiring event filled with knowledge-sharing, meaningful conversations and opportunities to connect with the global intelligent transport systems (ITS) community.

It has been a valuable experience for TTS Group and our partner, GoodVision, to showcase how transport analytics and AI-powered solutions can contribute to smarter, safer and more efficient mobility.

We are proud to share that TTS Group has received the SME Adoption Excellence Award at the inaugural SME AI Impact Awards 2026!

Jointly organised by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the awards recognise SMEs that have successfully adopted AI solutions to achieve meaningful business outcomes. The initiative celebrates how businesses are putting AI into practice to enhance productivity, improve operations and create value.

A proud moment for TTS Group was seeing our Group Managing Director, Kelvin Foo, take the stage to receive the trophy from Ms Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information.

This recognition reflects TTS Group’s commitment to embracing AI and advancing intelligent transport solutions through data and analytics.

We would like to acknowledge You Jin, our Group Regional Director, and Shu Hui, our Director, Analytics & Data Collection, for their leadership and contributions to this journey. We would also like to recognise Osten, whose contributions played an important role in our AI adoption efforts. Thank you for being part of this achievement!

It was especially meaningful to have our entire office come together yesterday to attend the ceremony and show their support. Having our colleagues celebrate this milestone as one team made the occasion even more memorable.

Kelvin Foo Yong Kiang Snr CEng FCIHT, Group Managing Director of TTS Group, recently represented TTS Group at an Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) Forum Retreat in Taipei, Taiwan, for an enriching exchange of ideas, business insights and leadership experiences.

The retreat offered valuable opportunities to learn from successful business leaders across different industries:

🌿 Miaoli Tourism Association (苗栗县观光协会)
Discovering how Hakka culture is used as the heart of tourism development in Miaoli, creating meaningful experiences while preserving local heritage.

🍶 Kimlan (金兰)
Learning from the fourth-generation business leader about sustaining and growing a century-old family business while preserving its legacy. And of course, Kimlan’s famous soy sauce was a delicious highlight!

🥬 Yang Ming Spring (阳明春天)
Gaining insights into how a second-generation business leader has elevated vegetarian cuisine to Michelin standards and expanded the business internationally, including into Singapore.

Beyond the business lessons, the retreat was also a wonderful opportunity for EO members to strengthen relationships, exchange perspectives and learn from one another.

At TTS Group, we believe that continuous learning and looking beyond our own industry help us gain fresh perspectives, challenge our thinking and discover new possibilities for growth.

We’re pleased to share that TTS Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ThinkTron in Taipei, Taiwan.

The MOU was signed on behalf of TTS Group by our Group Managing Director, Kelvin Foo, marking another step forward in strengthening regional collaboration and exploring new opportunities in smart mobility, Intelligent Transport Systems, traffic analytics, AI and transport technology.

We look forward to working closely with ThinkTron, exchanging expertise and exploring how our combined capabilities can support smarter and more innovative mobility solutions.

Could Singapore ever become a car-free city?

Last Friday, our Group Managing Director, Kelvin Foo Yong Kiang Snr CEng FCIHT, was interviewed by CNA for its 'CNA Explains' segment exploring whether Singapore could move towards a more car-free urban environment.

The feature looked at how streets can be reimagined for people, walking, cycling and community activities, and whether such concepts could be applied more widely across Singapore.

As a transport and traffic consultancy, this is a topic close to our work at TTS Group. Creating more people-centric streets is not simply about removing cars — it also requires careful consideration of accessibility, public transport, traffic circulation, safety, deliveries, emergency access and the overall needs of the community.

We are glad to contribute our industry perspective to this important conversation on the future of mobility and urban spaces in Singapore.

After visits to Riyadh and Doha, our Regional Group Director, You Jin, Director, Traffic Consulting, Leonard, and Director, Transport Analytics, Shu Hui, concluded their Middle East journey in Dubai.

During their visit, they had the opportunity to catch up with Tariq, GM of ST Engineering in Dubai; Yeen Teck, Head of Mobility at ST Engineering; and Hin Cheong, SVP Mobility – Head of Middle East & Africa. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange views on the region’s mobility landscape, ongoing developments and potential areas for future collaboration.

They also attended an ST Engineering forum in Dubai, gaining further exposure to industry developments and connecting with professionals across the mobility and technology sectors.

From Riyadh to Doha and finally Dubai, the journey was packed with meetings, presentations, discussions and new connections. Travelling across three cities within a short period was certainly demanding, but it also provided valuable first-hand exposure to the different transport priorities, opportunities and challenges across the Middle East.

More importantly, the trip allowed the team to better understand the region, build stronger relationships and explore where TTS Group’s capabilities in traffic engineering, transport planning, mobility analytics and intelligent transport solutions can contribute.

A tiring but meaningful journey — and a rewarding way to conclude TTS Group’s Middle East visit.

We look forward to turning these conversations and connections into future collaborations.
