Updates on the deployment of NING Research Simulation+AI driven software using GWUS AI technology for marine vessel operation.

NING Research is awarded a contract by a leading Germany ship automation technology company to install on five AHTS with NR-ANALYSIS FATIGUE; our well-established Simulation+AI driven software based on GWUS AI digital twin platform that has SMART Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) function and Certification of Product Design Assessment from American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

NING Research FEA and AI teams will be conducting finite element analysis to study fatigue utilization of a proposed marine vessel design under various operation conditions. GWUS machine learning algorithm will then be used to train the numerical results. The trained data will finally be implemented into GWUS digital twin platform for real time health monitoring and decision-making purposes.

AHTS are powerful offshore vessels designed to tow drilling rigs, deploy and retrieve heavy seafloor anchors, and transport essential supplies between the mainland and offshore platforms.

NING Research Sdn Bhd, newly established at Equatorial Plaza, Kuala Lumpur, is actively collaborating with Malaysian industries, including data centres, offshore & marine, and civil & structural engineering sectors.

We are pleased to announce that NING Research has been awarded a contract to utilize finite element analysis in the design of a high-rise building featuring odd shaped "walking columns" in Malaysia.

Walking columns provide a smart solution by allowing a gradual shift in column footprints without abrupt load transfers or intrusive load transfer members. This design enhances the construction process while ensuring a direct load path with high shear loading capacity. Designing odd-shaped "walking columns" requires advanced design and simulation tools that model structural members in three dimensions, addressing the changing second moment of area and positioning of reinforcement bars along the height.

Our simulation engineers at NING Research will employ Ansys Mechanical to assist civil and structural engineers in the design of this high-rise building.

The NING Research Professional Simulation Engineers Campus Tour 2026 continues as we visit the SUTD Singapore University of Technology & Design on 6 April 2026.

During this session on industry applications of finite element analysis, NING Research featured the highest number of engineers and consultants as speakers to cover a wide range of expert topics.

3. FEA for litigation and expert witnessing

NING Research (NR) is pleased to announced that Air Liquide, the second largest global supplier of industrial gases by revenue with headquarter in Paris, has awarded NR a contract to assess and manage industrial plant noise emissions from a proposed semiconductor manufacturing facility using noise simulation.

NING Research engineers will be utilizing industry-standard software SoundPLAN, that combines physics and computer science for noise mapping and environmental noise assessment to achieve regulatory compliance. The simulation and reporting will be carried out with reference to international noise standards and calculation guidelines such as ISO 9613, CNOSSOS-EU, and RLS-90.

Noise simulation results will be compared with site measurement. Thank you for entrusting us with this work.

Announcing the release of NR-ANALYSIS FATIGUE 2026 R1 SMART Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) Tier-2 software developed by NING Research | FEA & CFD Professional with Certification of Product Design Assessment from American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

Since the first release of NR-ANALYSIS FATIGUE in August 2025, the AI-powered software that is scientifically supported by FEA & CFD data has received orders for installation onboard more than 10 marine vessels.

SMART (SHM) provides continuous monitoring of stress, strain, fatigue and damage on structures that enable proactive and condition-based maintenance which can be implemented on infrastructures, marine vessels and also medical devices.

In our next post, we will demonstrate the implementation of NING Research developed AI+FEA+CFD powered software used on a medical device.
