The team at Maven had a chance to have a go with DSan's presentation tool during one of our technical sharing session. The wireless clicker system was not performing reliably for some of the panellists. Being an engineer 😂, the team measured and identify various common problems. Link of the article below to learn more!

https://www.mavenproject.sg/case-study/how-to-deploy-wireless-presentation-clicker-reliably

Wireless presentation clickers are used widely to control presentation slides changes. How can we improve the reliability of a wireless clicker system? How can we expand the wireless coverage of a clicker system? How can a user affect the signal strength of a transmitter (clicker)? In this article,

Part 4: Conclusion where we talk about
1. Antenna Radiation Pattern (why does it differ from the datasheet?)
2. Why consider 3dB beamwidth? (why not 4, 5 or 6dB?)
3. Importance of conducting wireless coverage measurement and the difference between indoor/outdoor environment.
4. Real-world RF Diversity System (actual measurement results)
5. Should you passively combine antenna input?

Maven would like to express our thanks to industry and academic friends for making this experiment possible! Have a good 2021 ahead!

How does the antenna perform differently in the real world? In this conclusion of Maven's antenna shootout series, we are exploring various antenna concepts and how they affect the performance of an RF system. Concepts such as Antenna' Radiation Pattern, Wireless Coverage Range, RF Diversity and Pas

Hi friends, thank you so much for the support, we have crossed our 100 Free WiFi Assessments! The purpose of the free WiFi assessment was to gather feedback and at the same time, improve the measurement system the team at Maven has developed.

It was our pleasure to help home and businesses to
1. Identify WiFi dead spots
2. Recommend ideal router placement to boost WiFi performance
3. Increase WiFi speed
Thank you, everyone, for the support and have a good 2021 ahead. 😊🙏

This is the last part of our Antenna Shootout 2020. In this article, we are concluding various antenna concepts that were discussed throughout the series.

These concepts include:

Maven would like to express thanks to our industry and academic friends for making this experiment possible! Happy New Year everyone.

An active antenna has additional circuitry built-in, typically to provide additional gain, thus achieving higher signal strength than its passive counterpart. Are active antenna better than passive antenna? When should you use them and what are the drawbacks? In this blog post, the team at Maven has measured various professional audio wireless antennas' performance in both open-air and indoor environment.

https://www.mavenproject.sg/case-study/antenna-shootout-professional-audio-part-3-active-antenna

In this part of the series, we will explore active antennas and their performance in open-air and indoor coverage performance. Active antennas are mostly receiving only. When should you boost the gain on your active antenna? What will happen if you boost too much signal gain on an active antenna?

In this part 2 of the experiment, we will be looking at the passive directional antennas (linearly and circularly polarized). These antennas are measured in both open-air and indoor environment to evaluate on their real-world performance beyond the datasheet. The team will also compare the technical benefits between omnidirectional and directional antenna.

Thank you for the great response for part 1!

https://www.mavenproject.sg/case-study/antenna-shootout-professional-audio-part-2-directional-antenna

In this part of the series, we will explore directional antennas, such as the Log-Dipole (commonly known as Fin) and Helical antennas, and their performance through the same characteristics of different directional antennas and how they affect the performance. We will also compare between directiona
