The difference is optimization, because both setup are designed to optimise for a different purposes.
The Sportive, ZetaCRD, and ClubRace; so what is best for me?
So I want to put up a little guide to help you decide.
Sportive: 6/5 kg/mm springs rate, fixed damping twin-tube dampers.
ZetaCRD: 6/5 kg/mm springs rate, adjustable mono-tube dampers
ClubRace: 12.5/7 kg/mm springs rate, adjustable mono-tube dampers
Suspensions are designed based on the tires you will be using.
The more grippy the tires, the higher the springs rate you need to control them.
What that mean is higher springs rate does not equal higher performance, it is specified differently because the overall goal of the car is different.
Sportive / ZetaCRD are designed for road use with road compound tires.
The softer springs rate allow better ride compliancy needed for uneven road surfaces.
The ZetaCRD is my go to because the adjustable mono-tube dampers provides a lot of flexibility and allows the driver to fine tune the suspension to their preference.
However, the Sportive provide a complete setup that works very well for the price point.
So what works best for your will be based on your needs and budget.
ClubRace are designed for use with high grip compound (200 Threadwear) type tires.
The higher springs rate are designed to take advantage of the additional traction that are generated by the high performance tires.
Helper springs are also incorporated with longer travel dampers in order to provide more static rebound travel for better performance.
One take away here is that the ClubRace may cost more due to more parts, but it is NOT a better suspension compared to the ZetaCRD.
In terms of technology, both setups use the same CRD (Close Ratio Damping) technology.
The difference is optimisation, because both setup are designed to optimise for a different purposes.
What that mean is if you are after a comfortable daily setup, the cheaper ZetaCRD is the better setup for you when compared to the ClubRace.
I hope this helps your research, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
