🌍 Day 2 Highlights from Posidonia 2026 🇸🇬⚓

Following a strong official opening of the Singapore Pavilion yesterday, today’s Singapore Networking Reception at Posidonia 2026 continued the momentum by bringing together Singapore companies, international partners, delegations and friends from across the global maritime ecosystem.

Organised by ASMI and the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF), the reception has become one of the traditions we look forward to at major international maritime exhibitions — creating a platform not just for Singapore companies overseas to reconnect, but also for potential business partners and international stakeholders to engage our marine and offshore energy ecosystem.

We were honoured to have Singapore Ambassador to Greece, Mr Simon Tay, join us and share a few words with guests, while also taking time to interact with participating Singapore companies exhibiting at Posidonia this year.

The reception welcomed guests and pavilion representatives from across the international maritime community, including Japan, South Korea, China, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, Denmark, Greece, Austria, Germany and Italy — reflecting the strong global interest in partnering Singapore companies across maritime, offshore energy and marine solutions.

These engagements continue to reinforce Singapore’s role as a trusted global maritime hub and a growing centre for marine and offshore energy innovation, supporting international collaboration, business opportunities and future-ready solutions for the industry.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us over the past two days at the Singapore Pavilion. We look forward to continuing the conversations and partnerships throughout the remainder of Posidonia 2026 🚢🤝

🌊 Day 1 Highlights from Posidonia 2026 ⚓

The Singapore Pavilion (with great support from Enterprise Singapore) had a strong start at Posidonia 2026 yesterday, welcoming distinguished guests, industry leaders, and partners from across the global maritime community.

Senior Minister of State for Law and Transport, Mr Murali Pillai, visited the Singapore Pavilion on the opening day, where he engaged with participating Singapore companies and industry stakeholders.

Following the official opening ceremony, Mr Murali Pillai officiated the opening of the Singapore Pavilion alongside Singapore Ambassador to Greece, Mr Simon Tay, Singapore Shipping Association President, Mr TS Teo, and Singapore Maritime Foundation Chairman, Mr Hor Weng Yew.

The visit was well received by participating companies, providing valuable opportunities for discussions on industry developments, international collaboration, and emerging opportunities across the maritime and offshore sectors.

The Singapore Pavilion was also honoured to welcome the President of Panama during the day, further highlighting the Pavilion's role as a platform for international engagement and partnership building.

Separately, Mr Murali Pillai met with Mr Yukito Higaki, President & CEO of Imabari Shipbuilding, President of the Japan Shipbuilders' Association, and Chairman of the Active Shipbuilding Experts' Federation (ASEF). Discussions included the upcoming ASEF meeting, which Singapore will host as part of the Singapore Maritime Week Symposium and ASMI 58th Anniversary Dinner week this November.

A longstanding ASMI tradition continues here in Athens 🇬🇷🇸🇬

Ahead of the busy week at Posidonia 2026, we brought together our Singapore exhibitors, members and partners over a welcome dinner with the beautiful Acropolis as the backdrop; an opportunity to reconnect, strengthen friendships, and build new connections within the Singapore marine and offshore energy community overseas.

These gatherings are always a meaningful reminder that beyond exhibitions and business meetings, it is the people, partnerships and camaraderie within the industry that continue to drive Singapore’s marine and offshore energy sector forward globally.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the official opening of the Singapore Pavilion tomorrow evening (~7pm), graced by Senior Minister of State (Ministry of Transport, Singapore ) Mr Murali Pillai, as well as our Singapore Networking Reception on 2 June 2026 (2pm), both taking place at the Singapore Pavilion in Hall 2.

If you are in Posidonia over the next two days, do drop by and connect with our Singapore companies. See you there! 🚢
