Recently, HollySys’ T880 Triple-Modular Redundant Compressor Control System (CCS) has been successfully deployed for the MAN compressor train at Yancoal Xinjiang Coal Chemicals Co., Ltd.’s 80,000 Nm³/h air separation unit, enabling reliable operation across the full operating range.

To address challenges from aging control systems, HollySys upgraded the unit with its SIL3-certified T880 system, featuring a control cycle of less than 30 milliseconds and availability exceeding 99.99%. The project team reconstructed key control logic, including anti-surge protection and turbine startup functions, while completing critical integrations such as overspeed protection and speed probe compatibility.

As the first T880 application for an 80,000 Nm³/h air separation unit with a MAN compressor upgrade, this project demonstrates HollySys’ advanced turbomachinery control capabilities and provides a proven solution for modernizing legacy systems with safer and more reliable operations.

Recently, supported by HollySys’ proprietary HOLLiAS® MACS DCS solution, the two 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical units of Shangrao Xintou Power Generation Co., Ltd. completed a 168-hour full-load trial operation in a single run and entered commercial operation.

As a key energy initiative in China, the project features two advanced ultra-supercritical secondary reheat units, and will generate approximately 10 billion kWh annually upon full operation.

HollySys provided its HOLLiAS® MACS DCS solution with nearly 35,000 I/Os, enabling plant-wide control for the boiler, turbine, generator, and BOP systems. The solution also achieved 40% fieldbus device coverage to enhance equipment connectivity and operational visibility. With millisecond-level response and high-precision regulation of critical parameters, it also supports long-term deep peak regulation with an 80% load variation range, while maintaining 100% CCS automatic control availability and furnace safety protection availability.

Recently, HollySys has been awarded the control system contract for the Hengyang Green Salt-Alkali Industrial Base Project, one of China’s largest integrated salt chemical complexes.

The project encompasses approximately 50,000 I/Os and features production capacities of 800 KTA combined soda ash, 600 KTA synthetic ammonia, 500 KTA urea, and 1.5 MTA integrated salt-nitrate, alongside auxiliary facilities including 3 × 350 t/h high-temperature and high-pressure cogeneration units, utilities, and storage and logistics infrastructure.

Under the contract, HollySys will provide a plant-wide Distributed Control System (DCS) solution to ensure efficient and reliable process control. The contract further underscores HollySys’ proven expertise in large-scale salt chemical industries and sets a new benchmark for control system applications in mega-scale integrated chemical projects.

Recently, HollySys has secured the control system contract for Xinjiang Qiya’s 1.6 MTA Silicone Project. As the world’s largest single-site silicone production project and a national key chemical engineering initiative, it features a control system comprising approximately 50,000 I/Os.

Under the contract, HollySys will provide an integrated solution including Distributed Control System (DCS), Safety Instrumented System (SIS), and Operator Training System (OTS) for the 800 KTA siloxane production line of the first phase.

This achievement demonstrates HollySys’ strong expertise in the silicon-based materials industry, setting a new benchmark for automation in large-scale chemical projects.

Recently, HollySys OCS has successfully passed a 90-day comprehensive validation under extreme cold conditions at the Mohe Test Station. Located in China’s northernmost region, the Mohe area experiences historical minimum temperatures of -53°C, with more than 60 days annually below -40°C, creating a highly demanding environment for industrial control equipment. Under the supervision of an independent third-party authority, the validation covered the full OCS product portfolio and included low-temperature startup, accuracy, fault diagnosis, and redundancy switching tests. More than one million operational data records were collected and analyzed, and the results verified the system’s ability to maintain reliable operation in extreme climate regions, supporting critical industries in extreme climate regions worldwide, including Central Asia, Northern Europe, and beyond.

Recently, HollySys supported the successful startup of the Zhongtai Specialty Paper 300 KTA Functional Paper-Based and Auxiliary Material Project in Shandong Province, China. With a total investment of USD 420 million and a site area of approximately 340,000 m², the project produces high-value-added paper products including LCD spacer paper and medical functional paper, serving electronics, healthcare, new energy, and packaging industries. HollySys delivered its XMagital® Intelligent System and HOLLiAS® MACS DCS, enabling full-process control and real-time digital management of production, energy, and equipment, while improving quality stability and operational efficiency. As the EPC contractor, HollySys supported the project through design, integration, commissioning, and startup. 🚆 On 29 May, HollySys successfully conducted the LTA Technology Sharing Workshop in Singapore, bringing together participants from various departments and work functions across LTA, including specialists, as well as rail operators for technical exchange and knowledge sharing. The workshop aimed to foster deeper understanding of HollySys’ rail solutions and capabilities, while supporting the continuous advancement of Singapore’s rail industry.

During the workshop, HollySys shared insights into the development trends and future direction of intelligent Integrated Supervisory Control Systems (ISCS), alongside its latest technologies and integrated solutions. Key highlights included the new Intelligent Urban Transit Operating System (TOS) — a common operating platform for integrated rail operations, and the Edge Intelligent Controller (EIC), which integrates front-end processors (FEPs) and redundant large-scale PLCs to strengthen system integration and reliability. HollySys also introduced the HiaRailAI Large Model, designed to enhance intelligent maintenance through AI-enabled diagnostics and predictive analysis, while serving as an on-site operational AI assistant to support faster troubleshooting and operational decision-making.

The workshop also showcased cloud-based ISCS architecture and deployment case studies of TOS and EIC, demonstrating how integrated digital technologies can enhance operational efficiency, system integration, and lifecycle management for urban rail transit.
