We strongly believe that innovation has no age limit.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve welcomed four classes of 8th graders from Berzeliusskolan in Linköping to our Innovation Centre, giving them a hands-on introduction to technology, engineering and future opportunities.
After learning more about Toyota Material Handling Europe, the students took on a real engineering challenge: designing and building a prototype of a future truck capable of safely transporting a load down a ramp.
But just like in real innovation projects, the conditions changed along the way. Functionality and design had to be considered, and so did cost and recyclability. The students had to adapt, collaborate, and think creatively to solve the challenge.
Seeing the engagement, problem-solving, and innovative ideas from these young students was truly impressive. Maybe we’ve even met some of our future colleagues!
