This summer, we have had the pleasure of welcoming a few young helping hands to Chris-Marine. As children of our employees, they have had the opportunity to explore working life up close. They have jumped straight in and done a fantastic job supporting different parts of the business.

They have taken on their tasks with care and interest, and it has been great to have them on board. We truly appreciate their support and are glad to offer a glimpse of what working life can look like.

Last week, we had the opportunity to support Wallenius Wilhelmsen with a cylinder condition monitoring assignment at Wallhamn AB. Using our Liner Diameter Measuring instrument (LDM), Liner Condition Camera (LCC), and Coating Thickness Measuring device (CTM), we conducted a comprehensive health check on each cylinder liner, quickly and efficiently, without the need to remove the cylinder cover.

Our engine specialists Gustaf Sandberg and Tyler Selzer just wrapped up a productive training session focused on the VRL and CPL machines for cylinder head grinding of sealing surfaces and pocket machining of exhaust seats. The session was tailored for Wärtsilä W46 cylinder heads and also included a hands-on walkthrough of our HON-A honing machine.

The training was aligned with the customer’s engine setup and focused on improving workshop efficiency in critical maintenance tasks.

A look behind the scenes as our team assembles a pneumatic pump onto one of our hydraulic Power Packs.

These units deliver the high pressure required for critical engine maintenance on vessels worldwide.
Developed in collaboration with leading engine manufacturers, our Power Packs are built for safety, performance and reliability at sea.

This session also brought together colleagues from Sales and Technical Service to gain hands-on experience. By learning more about the build and function of our systems, they are even better prepared to support our customers in the field.
