Another SweBend PB3-14-10 plate roll is up and running - this time in Taiwan.

Commissioned together with our partner Metech, who handled the local installation and service on the ground. Strong agents like Metech are how a machine built in Sweden runs reliably on the other side of the world.

The PB3-14-10 is a three-roll, all-hydraulic plate bender built for heavy plate:
- Pyramid design with double-pinch pre-bending for short flats at both ends
- Independent hydraulic drive on all three rolls with automatic speed compensation, so torque holds without power loss
- Hardened & ground rolls (≈58 HRC) on SKF bearings for repeatable forming under load
- Wireless Bluetooth Control with digital readouts at both ends for fast, accurate setup

And this is what it looks like once it is properly installed in a real factory: the machine is recessed into a prepared foundation and fixed into the floor, so the loading height sits at floor level for easier, safer plate handling.

Heavy-duty joggling of pressure vessel cylinders in mild steel up to 15 mm using the SweBend JM-140 - a tailored forming machine that rolls profiled grooves into the cylinder body for strength, roundness, and pressure absorption, and joggles stepped fl**ges at the cylinder ends for welding - in the same setup.

Today we celebrate something bigger than a birthday.

Our founder and CEO, Peter Nilsson, turns 60.

Six decades of curiosity, and more than three of them spent quietly reshaping what is expected from a premium bending machine. Peter started SweBend with a few simple convictions: never compromise on quality or precision, and that the people on the production floor deserve machines built by engineers who actually understand their work. Every machine we ship thus carries that fingerprint - the stability, the ease-of-use, and the unmatched precision.

What the machine specs don't show is the people behind them. Peter leads with patience, listens before he answers, and treats every colleague, customer, and supplier as a long-term relationship rather than a transaction. That, combined with the uncanny expertise of the SweBend team, is the real reason SweBend is where it is today.
