Bringing together 16 colleagues from five countries, this leadership development journey reflects our 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, strengthening collaboration across borders, and building the next generation of leaders within SOFMEDICA.

The first module, Communication, Listening and Influence, delivered in partnership with 𝗔𝗟𝗕𝗔 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 and led by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘂, marked the beginning of a shared learning experience designed to inspire growth, encourage new perspectives, and foster stronger connections across SOFMEDICA.

𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘆 has reached a remarkable milestone: 𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗱𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶™ 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁-𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, supported by 13 robotic surgery programs across nine institutions.

But behind this number are 𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁.

Each story was made possible by more than technology or a single surgeon at the console. Behind every procedure stands a multidisciplinary team: surgeons, nurses, operating room and anesthesiology teams, clinical and technical specialists, service engineers, hospital leaders, and many others 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

We celebrated this shared achievement at the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest, together with representatives from all nine institutions. This milestone does not belong to one individual, one team, or one hospital. 𝗜𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶™ 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘇𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘆

A new da Vinci™ Robotic Surgery program has been launched at the University of Szeged, marking another important step in the 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶™ 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰-𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.

Designed as a multidisciplinary program, it will bring together specialists in 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗴𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆. The first proctored thoracic procedures have already taken place, with general surgery, gynecology and urology expected to follow progressively.

The launch is supported by a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀, together with expert proctoring from some of Hungary’s most experienced robotic surgeons and proctors, including specialists from the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝘇 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗱á𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹.

A conversation worth sharing, from the 4th Athens Workshop on Leadership organized by ISLE Academy.

Since the beginning, SOFMEDICA has invested in people as one of the strongest foundations for long-term impact in healthcare.

As our organization has grown, so has the need for broader expertise, more diverse skills, and continuous learning across our teams. Over the past four years, we have continued to 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, from product training and soft skills workshops to renowned business school programs and personal coaching.

Through this journey, we came to understand that what we were building was more than a collection of training activities. It was the beginning of a 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺 designed specifically for healthcare, for our people, and for the future of care in our region.
