Comvex made an important appearance in “The Oceans Issue” of TIME. Our General Director, Viorel Panait, had the opportunity to discuss the company’s past, present and future.
The article reveals some of the significant progress Comvex has made since its foundation in 1991, which today resulted in the biggest and fastest operation in the Black Sea region through its custom-built Automated System for Reception and Analysis (SARA), it is also the largest bulk raw material handling terminal and is the only terminal that processes solid bulk goods in the Black Sea which can accommodate Capesize vessels of up to 220.000 tonnes.
Moreover, the article includes the company’s importance in the context of the Ukrainian War through the terminal’s ability to load 70,000 tonnes per day onto vessels, which turned out to be very advantageous for Ukrainian grain shipping operations because of reduced costs.
As for future goals, Viorel Panait brought up the significance of Comvex integration in the wider logistic chain, especially in the middle corridor that runs from Asia to Central and Western Europe. Furthermore, he plans for the company to have carbon emissions by the end of the decade, creating the blueprint for a safe harbour port.

Comvex a avut o aparatitie importanta in “The Oceans Issue” a publicatiei TIME. Directorul General, Viorel Panait, a avut oportunitatea sa discute despre trecutul, prezentul si viitorul companiei.
Articolul prezinta progresul semnificativ pe care Comvex l-a facut de la infiintarea sa in 1991, aceast progres rezulta astazi in cea mai mare si mai rapida operarea din regiunea Marii Negre prin crearea Sistemului Automat de Receptie si Analiza (SARS), este de asemenea, cel mai mare terminal de manipulare a meteriilor prime si singurul terminal care proceseaza bunuri in vrac solide din Marea Neagra care poate acomoda nave tip Capesize de pana la 220.000 tone.
De asemenea, articolul include si importanta pe care compania o are in contextul razboiului Ucraienean prin posibilitatea de a incarca 70.000 tone pe zi in nave, ceea ce s-a dovedit a fi foarte avantajos pentru operatiunile de transport de cereale ucrainiene deoarece costurile sunt reduse.
In ceea ce priveste obiectivele viitoare, Viorel Panait a adus in discutie importanta integrarii companiei in lantul logistic mai larg, in special coridorul de mijloc care se intinde din Asia pana in Europa Centrala si de Vest. In plus, el planifica pentru companie sa aiba propriile emisii de carbon pana la finalul deceniului, creand astfel un port sigur.
