A marathon, a good cause, and a lot of people bringing something to the table.

At the Bucharest MARATHON , we joined forces with SLOANE COFFEE , brewtifi and Napolact to fuel the runners supporting HOSPICE Casa Speranței.

HOSPICE provides free specialised care to children and adults living with incurable illnesses, helping manage pain, improve quality of life and support their families.

Our part was coffee. The bigger picture is making sure more people know about the work HOSPICE does and the families who need that support.

Different teams, different contributions, one cause worth getting behind.

A new championship, a new format, and Romania was one of the countries taking part.

This year, Stronghold launched the first edition of the Stronghold Roasting Championship, a new global roasting competition. We were proud to be part of it as the exclusive Stronghold distribuitor in Romania, bringing the Romanian edition to Slow Coffee Festival.

16 roasters and a new way to compete.

And now we have our first Romanian SRC Champion: Petru Burlacu, , heading to Seoul soon!

Thank you to STRONGHOLD Slow Coffee Festival , Artisan Green Bean | Specialty Green Coffee Supplier , DiFluid and ＭAHLKÖNIG GRINDERS OFFICIAL for making this first edition possible.

De Ziua Internațională a Cafelei, celebrăm oamenii din jurul ei.

Barista, prăjitori, tehnicieni, oameni din service, traineri,
distribuitori, antreprenori, echipe de cafenele și, bineînțeles, toți cei care vin pentru cafea.

Pentru că industria cafelei nu înseamnă doar ce ajunge în ceașcă. Înseamnă oamenii care o fac, cei care o pregătesc, cei care construiesc locurile în care o bem și comunitățile care se formează în jurul lor.

Iar pentru noi, Artisan Coffee Place este un astfel de loc.

Așa că astăzi vrem să spunem un mulțumesc echipei de acolo și tuturor celor care i-au trecut pragul de-a lungul timpului.

La mulți ani de Ziua Internațională a Cafelei tuturor celor care fac parte din lumea cafelei, în orice fel.

Day 3 at Slow was about competitions.

The World AeroPress® Championship finale and STRONGHOLD Roasting Championship both came to a close, with the same name taking both titles: congratulations to Petru Burlacu,

The AeroPress winner is heading to Mexico, while Stronghold Roasting Championship is off to Seoul. Two different parts of the world, two lenses to view the industry through.

We were happy to sponsor and help organise both competitions alongside the Slow Coffee Festival team, with our colleague Andrei Firu taking the lead on the roasting championship. After spending time training with the team in Seoul earlier this year, it was pretty special to see that work come full circle here in Bucharest.

A big one for everyone who put these competitions together, from the team behind the scenes to everyone who stepped up to compete.

And then there was the rest of Day 3: people, coffee, music, colour and all the energy that made Slow what it is.

It takes a village, it takes 10 years.

Day 2 at Slow had a little bit of everything.

Between the stands, the coffee, the catch machine at our booth and everyone stopping by to have a go, there was plenty happening on the floor.

And beyond the gear, Slow really came alive, live music, dancing, art, sports,colour, families and a whole lot of people simply enjoying being there.
