ACOMPANHAMENTO DE PRODUÇÃO | GRADEAMENTO EM AÇO PARA OBRA EM FARO

Quantas etapas são necessárias até um gradeamento estar pronto para ser instalado? Partilhamos o processo de produção da solução que desenvolvemos para uma obra industrial em Faro.

Após a adjudicação do projeto, iniciou-se a preparação e execução dos diferentes elementos, de acordo com o desenho técnico. Os perfis foram cortados, conformados e posicionados em gabarito, seguindo-se a montagem e soldadura dos vários trechos que compõem o gradeamento.

Concluído o fabrico, avançou-se para a decapagem e posterior pintura, etapas essenciais para a preparação da superfície e proteção da estrutura, antes da montagem no local.

How many steps are involved before a guardrail is ready to be installed? We’re sharing the production process for the solution we developed for an industrial intervention in Faro.

Following the awarding of the project, the preparation and fabrication of the different components began, in accordance with the technical drawings. The profiles were cut, formed and positioned in jigs, followed by the assembly and welding of the various sections that make up the railing.

Once manufacturing was complete, we moved on to shot blasting and subsequent painting - essential steps for surface preparation and protection of the structure before on-site assembly.

REGISTO DE PROJETO | ESTRUTURA METÁLICA - RESIDÊNCIA AVEPARK, GUIMARÃES

Com a construção da nova residência autossustentável do Avepark a aproximar-se da conclusão, recuperamos o registo de uma das primeiras etapas deste projeto: a execução da sua estrutura metálica.

A Beetsteel foi responsável pelo fabrico e montagem de cerca de 170 toneladas de aço carbono, que integram a solução estrutural, assegurando a sua estabilidade.

With the construction of Avepark’s new self-sustaining residence nearing completion, we look back at one of the early stages of this project: the assembly of its steel structure.

Beetsteel was responsible for the production and assembly of approximately 170 metric tons of carbon steel, which form part of the structural system, ensuring its stability.

REGISTO DE PROJETO | SUBSTITUIÇÃO DE TABULEIRO METÁLICO - VIADUC DES ROCHERS NOIRS, FRANÇA

No mês em que se assinalam a inauguração e a reabertura do Viaduc des Rochers Noirs, recordamos a nossa participação no projeto de recuperação de um dos mais singulares exemplares da engenharia francesa do início do século XX.

Inaugurado em 1913, o viaduto possui mais de 170 metros de comprimento e atravessa, a 92 metros de altura, o desfiladeiro do rio Luzège, ligando as localidades de Lapleau e Soursac. Durante décadas, integrou a linha ferroviária do Transcorrézien, que ligava Tulle a Ussel, até ao encerramento da linha e, posteriormente, do próprio viaduto.

Classificado como Monumento Histórico em 2000, pelo seu valor técnico e arquitetónico, permaneceu encerrado ao público durante quase duas décadas. Em 2022, teve início um amplo projeto de reabilitação, que incluiu a renovação do tabuleiro e a substituição dos respetivos elementos de distribuição de cargas em aço carbono, produzidos pela Beetsteel.

Após dois anos de trabalhos, o Viaduc des Rochers Noirs reabriu em setembro de 2024, agora integrado num percurso destinado a peões e ciclistas.

In the month marking the inauguration and reopening of the Viaduc des Rochers Noirs, we look back on our involvement in the restoration project of one of the most unique examples of early 20th-century French engineering.

Inaugurated in 1913, the viaduct is over 170 meters long and spans the Luzège River gorge at a height of 92 meters, connecting the towns of Lapleau and Soursac. For decades, it was part of the Transcorrézien railway line, which connected Tulle to Ussel, until the line was closed and, subsequently, the viaduct itself.

Designated a Historic Monument in 2000 for its technical and architectural value, it remained closed to the public for nearly two decades. In 2022, a major restoration project began, which included the renovation of the deck and the replacement of its load-bearing carbon steel components, manufactured by Beetsteel.

After two years of work, the Viaduc des Rochers Noirs reopened in September 2024, now part of a route for pedestrians and cyclists.

Numa das zonas mais dinâmicas de Ponta Delgada, começa a ganhar forma um novo espaço comercial, com fabrico e montagem a cargo da Beetsteel.

Neste momento, já é possível ver parte da estrutura metálica, que, no seu conjunto, ascenderá a mais de 170 toneladas e que, dentro de algumas semanas, estará preparada para receber os revestimentos, também da nossa responsabilidade, numa área superior a 6.100 m².

In one of the most dynamic areas of Ponta Delgada, a new commercial space is beginning to take shape, with Beetsteel responsible for its fabrication and assembly.

At this stage, part of the metal structure is already visible. When complete, it will weigh more than 170 metric tons and, within a few weeks, will be ready for the installation of the cladding, also carried out by Beetsteel, covering an area of more than 6,100 square metres.

REGISTO DE PROJETO | ESTRUTURA METÁLICA – PROMENADE DE LA ROSE DE CHERBOURG, FRANÇA

Há três anos, neste dia, celebrávamos a inauguração de um dos nossos projetos em França: La Rose de Cherbourg.

Nesta intervenção, que transformou uma antiga infraestrutura rodoviária num passeio urbano elevado, integrado no distrito financeiro de La Défense, em Puteaux, fomos responsáveis pela produção das estruturas metálicas arqueadas que marcam a identidade da Promenade, bem como da escada em perfis soldados, com 15 toneladas, concebida para vencer o desnível e assegurar a ligação entre diferentes cotas do espaço público.

Esta obra traduz, assim, a exigência técnica e o rigor de execução que permitem à Beetsteel responder aos desafios de projetos de referência nacional e internacional.

Three years ago today, we celebrated the inauguration of one of our projects in France: La Rose de Cherbourg.

In this intervention, which transformed an old road infrastructure into an elevated urban promenade integrated into the La Défense financial district in Puteaux, we were responsible for producing the arched steel structures that define the Promenade’s identity, as well as the 15-metric-ton staircase made of welded profiles, designed to bridge the elevation difference and ensure connectivity between different levels of the public space.

This project thus reflects the technical expertise and executional rigour that enable Beetsteel to meet the demands of high-profile projects both nationally and internationally.

ACOMPANHAMENTO DE OBRA | ESTRUTURAS METÁLICAS - CO-LIVING BEATO, BEATO INNOVATION DISTRICT LISBOA

Estamos a trabalhar no novo Co-Living do Beato Innovation District, um dos mais relevantes polos de inovação e empreendedorismo de Lisboa.

Com mais de três séculos de história, a reabilitação deste edifício exige uma intervenção particularmente cuidadosa, conciliando a introdução de novas soluções estruturais com a preservação dos elementos existentes.

Nesta fase, damos os primeiros passos na montagem da estrutura metálica da cobertura definitiva (300 toneladas) com piso em laje colaborante, sendo já visíveis as vigas metálicas que instalamos para apoiar o sistema de escoramento e garantir a preservação do piso centenário em madeira.

We are working on the new Co-Living development at Beato Innovation District, one of Lisbon’s leading hubs for innovation and entrepreneurship.

With more than three centuries of history, the rehabilitation of this building requires a particularly careful approach, combining the introduction of new structural solutions with the preservation of the existing elements.

At this stage, we are taking the first steps in the assembly of the permanent steel roof structure, weighing approximately 300 tonnes, and the composite floor system, with the steel beams already in place to support the temporary propping system and ensure the preservation of the century-old timber floor.

A produção da estrutura metálica para o novo complexo comercial que vai nascer em Ponta Delgada, nos Açores, aproxima-se da conclusão.

Terminado o processo de soldadura, visível nas imagens, procedeu-se à pintura, de forma a garantir a proteção e preparação da estrutura antes da montagem.

À estrutura metálica produzida, com 170 toneladas, somar-se-ão 6.100 m² de revestimentos metálicos, igualmente a cargo da Beetsteel.

Production of the steel structure for the new commercial complex taking shape in Ponta Delgada, in the Azores, is nearing completion.

Once the welding process visible in the images was completed, painting was carried out to ensure the structure was protected and prepared prior to assembly.

In addition to the 170-metric-ton metal structure that was produced, 6,100 square meters of metal cladding will be installed, also by Beetsteel.
