Executing highly complex mosaic flooring demands far more than technical cutting, it requires a unique sensitivity to the raw material and surgical precision in every joint.

In this project, we combined Affumicato and Volakas marbles using our Inlays technique. Each piece is cut with millimetric precision and subsequently hand-fitted and assembled by our most experienced craftsmen.

Calacatta Vagli marble for both the countertops and the central island.

The focus was on slab selection and layout planning to align the heavy, expressive veining across the island’s top and waterfall side panels. 45-degree mitered joints ensure the pattern wraps smoothly down the sides without breaking the vein flow at the edges.

Ensuring the veins flow around the corner without abrupt interruptions requires rigorous cutting planning and, above all, many hours of meticulous hand-finishing. In the end, the Taj Mahal quartzite piece appears as if it was carved from a single block.
