Ancalle Engineers, a DBA of CA Engineering, PSC specializes in water, wastewater and stormwater engineering.

CA Engineering was established in April 1992 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to provide engineering services to the government and the industry on the fields of water/wastewater engineering and water resources related studies. Over the years, the firm has experienced steady and controlled growth. To this date, CA Engineering is enriched with strong experience in the United States, Puerto Rico and Latin America. In over 20 years, CA Engineering has designed water distribution systems, water filtration plants, water storage facilities, transmission lines, sewerage systems, wastewater treatment plants, and water and wastewater pumping stations. In the line of water resources, CA Engineering has performed hundreds of hydrologic-hydraulic (HH) studies for the housing industry, requests for CLOMR/LOMR from FEMA in compliance with the NFIP, storm water management plans, river course modification studies, studies for flood control, and for sizing rainfall runoff discharge detention systems, reservoir safe yield and level studies, and sediment transport studies. Last week Ancalle Engineers attended the ASCE UPRM Student Chapter Fall Companies Night at the Mayaguez Resort and Casino in Puerto Rico. We had a great time meeting students and sharing more about our mission at Ancalle Engineers.

Our newest team member, Joshua E. Díaz Pérez, EIT, graduated from UPRM earlier this year and was excited to return to this event as a Project Engineer representing Ancalle Engineers. He was a member of the Timber Strong Design Build Team which won first place in the 2026 ASCE Student Symposium.

We look forward to growing the connections we made at this event and fostering the next generation of engineering professionals!

At Ancalle Engineers, we work tirelessly to help engineers cut down on calculation time. Our updated DetCal Release 2 is currently being tested and features automated sizing of runoff detention structures powered by HEC HMS. The new web based platform is coming soon.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with a master’s degree preferred. This role requires a strong foundation in hydrology and hydraulics, with a keen interest in applying these skills to real-world challenges.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, particularly in hydrology and hydraulics.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
