𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗮: 𝙢𝙩𝙪 Series 4000 and Series 2000 marine engines have received U.S. Navy certification for autonomous naval vessel operations – a major milestone for unmanned maritime capabilities.

The 𝙢𝙩𝙪 Series 4000 passed two 720-hour durability tests, certifying it for autonomous use at up to 4,300 kW of propulsion power and 3,000 kWe of power generation, in V8, V12, V16 and V20 configurations. The 𝙢𝙩𝙪 Series 2000 was certified through rigorous component testing and thousands of hours of field operation, supporting up to 1,939 kW in V10, V12 and V16 configurations.

The certifications meet 2021/2026 National Defense Authorization Act requirements for unmanned systems, qualifying both engines for 30-day at-sea deployments without maintenance or human intervention.

"Recuerdo un viernes en que un distribuidor tuvo una emergencia: su cliente necesitaba un equipo en funcionamiento al día siguiente, sábado, y nosotros éramos el único punto en la cadena con la pieza disponible.

Con muy poco tiempo, logramos conseguirle espacio en un vuelo comercial para que llegara a tiempo, y mantuve comunicación con ellos durante todo el proceso, incluso ese sábado.

Al final, el distribuidor me escribió agradecido y me dijo que contara con él para lo que necesitara.

"I remember a Friday when a distributor had an emergency: their customer needed equipment back up and running by the next day, Saturday — and we were the only point in the chain with the part available.

With very little time to work with, we managed to get it on a commercial flight so it would arrive on time. I stayed in touch with them throughout the entire process, even that Saturday.

In the end, the distributor wrote back, grateful, and told me to call him directly if we ever needed anything from his end.

One million hours on HVO (renewable diesel). Gothenburg RoRo Terminal reached a major milestone in reducing emissions across its fleet with Volvo Penta engines.
