E-4B Nightwatch (NAOC) – Airborne National Command Center Based on the Boeing 747-200B
The E-4B Nightwatch is a highly specialized airborne command-and-control aircraft operated as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC). Derived from the Boeing 747-200B airframe, the aircraft was developed to provide a survivable mobile command headquarters capable of maintaining communications with military, government, and strategic command networks during national emergencies.
