Conversion of Survey Vessel NG EXPLORER Nearing Completion!

We are thrilled to share that the conversion project for the survey vessel NG EXPLORER, commissioned by Nex tGeosolutions (NextGeo) and executed at Green Yard Kleven, is now entering its final phase!

As Nelton Design, we are proud to deliver the comprehensive engineering package, spanning from the initial concept, stability and strength calculations, all the way through inclining experiments to the final Stability Booklet.

We are proud to announce that Nelton has been selected by Norwegian ship designer and system integrator Sirius Design & Integration AS to develop the Basic Design package for a next-generation longline vessel, design type SDI1149.
With a length overall (LOA) of 50.3 meters and a specialized freezer hold capacity of 630 m³, the vessel is engineered specifically to maintain high raw material quality and ensure seamless operations in the unforgiving environment of the North Atlantic.

We have great news! Our partner, Fjellstrand AS shipyard, has signed a contract to build another fully electric ferry for GulenSkyss. We are honored to once again be part of this zero-emission journey, being responsible for the design of this innovative vessel!

Type: Passenger and car catamaran
Propulsion: 100% electric, designed for minimum energy consumption
Capacity: Up to 50 cars
Route: Breistein – Valestrand, Norway
Launch: November 2027

This project is the next step following our pioneering "Ampere" towards cleaner maritime transport. We are proud that Polish engineering contributes to global changes for environmental protection!
